Yogu's Woodside

Stayed at this hotel in March 2026. Quick check-in, friendly hosts. The rooms are new and the cleanest I've seen in India, cozy and well-equipped. The location is convenient for tourists. The hosts helped with transfers, scooter rentals, ferry tickets, tours, and other information about the island. The food was excellent, and I was kindly given the spices for a magical tea. The accommodations were excellent for the price. I highly recommend this hotel.

Das Hotel ist neu und modern. Ich hatte die Reisekrankheit und war froh, in diesem Hotel zu sein. Der smart tv hat viele verfügbare Apps. Die Küche hat versucht auf meine Bedürfnisse Rücksicht zu nehmen. Das Essen war immer frisch und sehr lecker. Badetücher gab es vom Hotel auf Nachfrage gestellt, ein Scooter ist auszuleihen.

Im Schrank waren noch Socken des Vorgängers zu finden, demzufolge wurde nicht ausreichend gereinigt. Manchmal wirkten die Mitarbeiter genervt oder lustlos. Das Hotel beschreibt an sich selbst einen höheren Anspruch , als sie erfüllen (können?). Zwischendurch wäre eine Reinigung wünschenswert gewesen, es wäre schön gewesen, wenn wir gefragt worden wären. Nachteil des frisch gekochten essens ist, dass es etwa 2h Vorlauf bräuchte, man müsste also vorbestellen um irgendwann das Essen auch zu bekommen.

Greeted at the jetty by staff who transported us to and from the hotel for return trip. Modern new building. Food was good quality and reasonably priced. Staff were friendly. Long Island has a quiet small village fell but is a window into the life of a non tourist island. Enjoy walking around the village or hike out to Lalaji Beach. Go for a Milky tea with the locals at the Rotary snack shack. Enjoy the animals on the oval opposite the hotel. Look out for Sweety , a beautiful natured, cream coloured but undernorished puppy. She loves eggs or any left overs you may have. Great for a 2 night stay.

Some additional information about the island would have been good.

We stayed for four nights and really enjoyed our time here. From the time we were picked up from the ferry until we left we enjoyed our time here. The food was excellent the staff polite friendly and helpful and the room was great. I totally recommend this accommodation.

Wonderful new designed rooms, super comfortable, modern and very clean. We extended our stay, short walk to swimming beach, very good food, staff super friendly incl. pick up/drop off service to the ferry. Would surely choose again to stay at this place!

We had a great time on Long Island and a large reason for that was Yogu's. It's a very well run place with incredibly comfortable rooms that have streaming services available to watch a movie in the evenings. The beds are the most comfortable we experienced on holiday in the Andaman Islands easily! The courteous and helpful staff are always a pleasure because the friendly and caring attitude seems so genuine. From the moment we arrived on Long Island we were surprised to find they had sent someone to pick us up even though the walk is short and provided us with refreshments as soon as we walked through the door! The food in the restaurant was great - lovingly prepared and served! The menu was large and in four nights we still had things we wished we had tried! As Long Island starts to gain popularity in the coming years this place will rightfully reap the benefits because they're doing everything correctly.

They really are faultless. As good a place as you could hope to stay.
