Abbey View studio central Bath

Great location, lovely apartment

I loved that it was such a large and roomy space, the appliances were very nice too! Very clean and Toni the house was awesome.

It was very well located. Bright and well equipped

It needs larger bath towels and pillows are very very hard!

Mer centralt kan man nog inte komma. Här finns allt du behöver för ett par dagar. Och utsikten är otrolig.

Förutom nattlivet som man får räkna med när man bor mitt i smeten, finns det inte mycket att anmärka på.

Had a lovely 4 day stay in Bath and used Abbey View at our base. Firstly, the positives. Abbey View is a really nice, modern studio apartment set right in the middle of Bath. It is literally opposite the Roman Baths and the western side of Bath Abbey. Everything within Bath city centre is within a 5–10-minute walk. And I mean everything – attractions, parks, nice pubs and restaurants and lots of lovely shops – all in an easy walk right from the front door. The apartment is full of all the modern appliances that you would need and is nicely decorated. There are some quirky LED signs but these can be turned off – use the remote controls on the window sills. This info is in the initial email confirmations but there is no written welcome pack so we forgot this totally. The hosts were polite and helpful with questions, even though there was a misunderstanding about the early check-in time which had been agreed.

There were some downsides albeit some were things that maybe we should have thought of. I had visited Bath before so did not think the centre would be particularly noisy at night but I was wrong. On two of our three nights, there was loud music and crowd noise coming from somewhere nearby (we never found out where) from 10.30 pm until midnight. Of course, this will not affect you if you are going to be out yourself at that time but we are old and like an early night! In addition, the bed was quite soft if you like a firm bed; the shower is right next to the bed in an open plan format (in case you prefer some privacy) and the light switch for the bathroom is in the bedroom and it lights up the shower area too – so if one of you wants to visit the bathroom in the middle of the night then you have a good chance of waking up your other half. Again, something that might not bother younger visitors. I do not want this to come over as overly critical, it is just things that might make some people think twice. Saying all of that, if someone was coming to Bath, I would recommend this apartment along with all the caveats mentioned above.

You could hear street noise. We had rental car…no parking but there is car park close enough and easy to use.
