The location was right off the road, that was nice. It didn't smell bad in the room.

Having worked in hospitality most of my life, I try to give people the benefit of the doubt. The thing that I had trouble letting go of was, the worst part about this place was the complete lack of effort. I never expected anything fancy for the price. I don't mind bucket squat showers, I am not a picky traveler.... but the lack of effort put into this was laughable and so much of it would cost nothing to improve. Wash the walls- they are covered in dark smudges from people wiping god knows what over them for years. Soap and hot water could go a long way here. Fresh coat of paint could do a lot more. The junk in front could get cleared out- I wasn't sure if we were staying in someone else's room, there was stuff all over the front. Towels and linens could be replaced for 100 baht, so people weren't grossed out by the stains. The mattress... it is time to get a new one, all you feel is springs as you get sucked into the broken down middle. Anything would be an upgrade. I've lived here a long time so I don't get easily rattled, but a place like this would scare most western travelers. The photos are the newer looking bungalows in the back, which for whatever reason, were not the ones they put us in. I get that budget spots don't turn enough profit to make it worth investing a lot into them, but the majority of the improvements this place needs to make are FREE and just require you to care. Sorry for the tough love, but the owner really need to talk to whoever they are letting run this place.

Basin inside bathroom leaking and towel are bad and should be replace.
