River Eyes at Porto apartments

Very nice apartment right in the heart of Porto. Clean, comfortable, and decorated in a lovely style. Great contact with the owners. No notes :) We stayed in the apartment for two nights. It turned out that on the second night Porto was celebrating winning the national championship, so there were parades, parties, and noise until the morning. I absolutely do not lower my rating because of that — it’s simply part of staying in such central location.

However, probably because of the celebrations, one of the neighbors in the same building left the front door wide open, placed a huge speaker in the doorway, and played loud music nonstop all day until 11 pm. On top of that, he sat in the hallway smoking cigarettes the entire time. Even with the windows and shutters closed and the door sealed with a blanket, I felt as if I were smoking them myself. I mention this because everything seemed very well organized on his side — he had extension cords set up and even put out a small fridge selling beer — so I suspect this may happen regularly, not just as a one-off because of the celebrations. So for this one night staing there was really uncomfortable. Just for that neighbor I lower my "comfort" rating. Everything else was pretty fantastic. Just one small suggestion — a little side table next to the sofa would be really useful for putting down a coffee or tea.

Location was a stand out with many restaurants, bars and cafes in the immediate are.

Even with Windows and shutters closed the apartment was noisy due to proximity of restaurants bars etc. Direction to the property need a major overhaul. Better to be dropped of at corner of R de Mouzinho da Silveira & Traversa da Bainharia and walk 10 metres than try to navigate the extremely narrow Rua de Bainharia. Stairs up to the Apartment are very steep.

Perfect location, very charming apartment. Would definitely recommend.

Juste dommage que les vitres ne sont que des simples vitrages car le bruit des voitures sur les pavés est bien audible la nuit malgré que la route principale se trouve à environ 50 m.

Location very nice for touristic purposes. Apartment is clean and nice. Full-packed kitchen (no dishwasher).

The hallway smelled like a toilet. I would think first that this comes from the street - but no, street was clean. From the street and neighbors come another smells - cigarets, burned oil, fries fish, other food. It was cold, but stiffly inside. However, I cannot open windows because all of these smells (also, with an opened window smell from the hallway comes to the room…) Bed and pillows were too firm for me, I cannot sleep well. No soap or washing gel - only shampoo (thats weird) I din have time or energy to contact about any of this.

El apartamento se encuentra en una ubicacion excelente,cerca de todos los lugares de interes,muy acojedor,si vuelvo, no dudare en alojarme en el mismo sitio.

Location was perfect for our stay- walking distance to pretty much everything! Loved the balconette… great to open up and let the light and air through the apartment. Lots of shops, bars and restaurants in close proximity. Despite this there was no noise disturbance. Property its self was very well presented and very clean and comfortable.

Would have been helpful to have a second set of keys

The location is walkable to main attractions. Friendly neighbourhood and good local restaurants nearby.

I would prefer to have the instructions for check-in in advance.
