Getting very rude message basically stating I had stolen their cutlery.

Mattress & pillow protectors an absolute must! Your mattress & pillows will not stay in the excellent condition we found them if they are not protected. A rail on the left side of the stairs would be useful too...a gem of a place & would highly recommend.
