Honey Bee Cabin

It was absolutely picturesque. To be able to sit on the balcony overlooking the river and hear the local cricket game was stunning

The mattress was just far too soft for our liking but I guess that is just personal preference

Absolute sanctuary from the rest of the world, the views are beautiful and being so close to the nature was amazing. Such a beautiful cabin. A home from home feeling.

Wish we stayed longer

What an amazing little cabin. It overlooks the river where we watched the fish leaping. There was bird food in the cupboard which we immediately put on the decking/balcony. We saw a variety of birds and a cheeky squirrel sneaking off with a fat ball. It is peaceful, the sky is incredible, no light pollution at all. The inside is perfect. Lovely kitchen, great shower and the stained glass windows are the finishing touch. Would I stay again? Yes I would. Would I recommend this place. Yes, I would. We walked to the pub and the landlord’s son offered us a lift back. Brilliant. Oh, and the hosts - super. All round, fabulous.

The cabin is at the bottom of the garden and was really quiet and peaceful. There is plenty of space for the dogs to run and explore. The location is perfect to explore the area and the wonderful beaches.

We had a lovely stay in this cabin. It was very clean, warm and cosy – they had lit the wood fire for us before we arrived. From the outside the cabin looks like ramshackle garden shed but the inside is very nice and bigger than you would expect. Nice views from the panoramic windows down onto the of the river and the town beyond. Bed was comfortable and the cabin was equipped with the basic supplies you need for a stay. Plenty of mains power outlets are available – to plug in chargers for phones and laptops. Parking is available in a bay off the road in front of the house. The owners were very helpful and friendly. We had a bit of trouble finding the place as Google Maps took us very close but on the other side of the river. Following the directions from the owners made it easier but it is easy to drive right past without realising. Luckily the owner spotted us passing and flagged us down.

We had a great stay at this cabin. It was absolutely spotless when we arrived and the interior is really nicely done. The balcony has a lovely view over the surrounding nature and it was nice to sit out there and relax. We brought our dog along for his first trip away and he absolutely loved it. The hosts were friendly and welcoming, and gave us some great recommendations for days out and local walks. We’d happily stay here again and would definitely recommend it.
