Casa L'agrumeto

We were trying to find somewhere in Italy close to the border as my husband & son had never been (trip was to go to Formula E at Monaco & combine with holiday). On reading reviews & looking at the location being near the train station (as we decided not to hire a car), we contacted Laura & Alessandro. Our flight home wasn't until 11 pm, so we asked if we could keep the accommodation until the evening, which they kindly agreed. We flew to Nice & through trial & error discovered, you can walk 10 mins to St Augustin train station where you can get a direct train to Ventimiglia at a cost of £20.90 for 3 of us one way (our son 24 yrs was classed as youth). Laura met us on the platform & gave us a lift with our luggage but also pointed out a shortcut from the accommodation through to station that only takes 5 mins compared to going over bridge 15 mins. Accommodation was perfect for us with everything we needed & more. It was extremely clean & tidy with personal touches like lemons on the table from the tree outside, welcome tray with tea/coffee/milk pots & biscuits, as well as water in the fridge The views over the town from the balcony are amazing & you can see through to the sea. The bonus of the garden with table & chairs & separate area with recently purchased loungers was cherry on the top. Laura was an amazing host & went above & beyond to help us - especially with a personal problem I had that under most circumstances could have been very awkward!! She was extremely helpful with local information, recommendations for places to visit, eat at & even deliveroo pizza from Zero18. We could not praise her enough & feel so blessed & thankful to find Casa l'agrumeto 🙏 On using local trains, it was so easy & booked via the trainline app & paid by PayPal, We visited Sanremo, which cost £18 return for the 3 of us.

Nothing - just if you have mobility issues be aware there are steps up to front door & a flight of stairs to apartment door.
