Green Man Gerês Mountain House

A localização da casa é espetacular, fica nesta aldeia calma com vista para a cadeia montanhosa e com rápido acesso aos trilhos. A vista da sala é extraordinária e é, sem dúvida, o que torna esta casa tão especial. A cozinha encontra-se totalmente equipada, o quarto é espaçoso e possui uma cama bastante confortável. Outro aspeto muito positivo é que a casa dispõem de estacionamento espaçoso à porta. Recomendamos muito!

Cozy village stone house, great terrace to sit outside and watch the view. Has everything one needs for the stay, kitchen well equipped. We especially enjoyed the hiking trails in the area and the one that crosses right by the house was really wonderful.

Suggest to add more light to the kitchen for those who cook when staying, like us:) but the kitchen has everything and it’s great.

Das historische Haus liegt leicht erhöht im Bereich des Dorfkerns mit traumhafter Aussicht von Terrasse und Wohn/Esszimmer über die Dächer auf die umgebende Bergkette. Im Erdgeschoss befindet sich das Schlafzimmer mit eigenem kleinen Bad und ist selbst bei der aktuellen Hitzewelle angenehm kühl. Der Ort ist bezaubernd, Wanderwege direkt vor der Tür, Bademöglichkeit 15 Minuten fußläufig. Der Vermieter ist ausgesprochen freundlich, hilfsbereit und jederzeit ansprechbar- wir haben wunderschöne, erholsame Tage in Campo do Geres verbracht.

The property is a traditional old house at the top end of the village that has been refurbished with all modern conveniences as well as a lovely woodburner to cosy up to at night. It is very handy for the hiking trails in the national park, one of which goes right past the door !

We stayed in the Green Man Gerês Mountain House for a week and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. It is a spacious independent house on two floors, with the bedroom on the street level and the kitchen and living room plus spacious balcony one floor up. The view on the village and the mountains is fantastic. In the week that we were there, the temperature in the mountains sometimes reached more than 30 C, but the house always remained comfortable (especially when closing the blinds when the sun shone on them and opening the windows in the night and early morning). Also, the balcony is so large and well-situated that one can always find a comfortable place to sit in the shade and enjoy the views. The owner (who lives in another town nearby) is very nice and helpful.
