KYOTO ZEN HOUSE

Très jolie maison , bien placée à Kyoto, proche de la gare centrale et au calme; présence d'une machine à laver; le propriétaire était très à l'écoute: nous avons eu un problème avec l'air conditionné (qui a été réparé le lendemain) et achat de couteaux ( il y en avait seulement 1 pour 7 personnes); 3 chambres ( 1 au RDC et 2 au 2 ème étage); 2 WC et 2 sdb/douche;

Le point que je nous n'avons pas du tout apprécié ( et c'est la seule fois que nous avons reçu cela après un voyage de 3 semaines au Japon) est de recevoir 2/3 jours avant une liste de choses que nous ne devions pas faire et les amendes qui s'en suivraient si cela se produisait (pourquoi ne pas les inscrire noir sur blanc dans l'annonce dès le départ?); en disant que si nous n'acceptions pas les consignes, notre location serait annulée .. Déposer ses bagages avant le check-in est ok en payant; Saleté sous certains lits (mais comme nous n'avions pas le droit de déplacer les meubles sous peine d'amende, nous avons laissé tel quel) Check-in : après 16h et check-out : après 10h (la plupart du temps c'est 15h puis 11h)

When asked for more toilet paper, it was delivered to the front of the house in less than one day. Very central, but on the south of the main station, which after knowing Kyoto a bit better is the worse side of the station connection-wise.

Found dust in very accessible spaces, it seemed like the house had not been used for more than one month, and no deep-cleaning happened before our stay in March 2025. Bathrooms, Kitchen and Rooms were clean though expect for a smalllayer of dustin certain spaces. The rooms were quite small, the house overall felt small for 6 people, and the structure is said to be able to hold 8.

Very well maintained house, close to the main railway station, still quite and clean. Kitchen and dining area was the highlight.

Beautiful Zen house, very roomy.

Negative was the lack of curtains or drapes. My husband and I slept in the first floor room, and the daylight was extreme by 5am leading to inability to continue to sleep. Could not find sleeping masks at convenience stores. Other than nature, no complaints.

Location is superb.

Bedrooms are a little tight, but I am judging that by Australian standards.

Location was really nice. The rooms are clean and comfy. It’s perfect for big group of people/ families.

It would be great to have heating system in the shower place, especially in the winter. The doors on the 2nd would be more convenient/ handy if there are not auto closing.
