Heidl Guest House partner with Grampian Hotel

The location was great, the restaurant attached to the hotel was sooo tasty.

Generous with coffee and milk. Warm room. Got help with the luggage up the stairs.

Had booked the guest house. Went in the front door and no one was there to welcome me. Rang a bell and no one came. Saw a notice to hand in the key to the hotel next door when leaving. Went next door to ask whats going on which meant dragging the luggage over to there. Got checked in.. A notice at the guesthouse to do so instead of at the guest house must surely be common sense to avoid confusion and frustration??! A bad start. Funny thing is that my room ended up being just above the entrence to the guesthouse anyway. Signage of room numbers confusing. Heard other guests talking outside my room in the evening also pointing this out. Booked earliest time for breakfast as a train booked.The breakfast staff wasnt ready and asked me to wait. The butter was cold and therefor hard -impossible to use.. The yoghurt was instead warm. The wi-fi kept closing itself down.

Booked it for a brief night away, Breakfast was good,Room was quiet. Ideal for getting into town centre.

Offroad Parking is limited to 4 spaces for 8 rooms. Mattress was worn out & sagging.

Near bus station clean tidy staff were polite and helpful breakfast was excellent and large yes good hotel will go back

Extremely good value for money and the bonus of the Indian/Nepalese restaurant downstairs made the evening meal really easy and food was lovely. Everyone was very welcoming
