Glasgow River Clyde Hydro Aprt

The apartment is located in a secure building and is very spacious. Parking is available, though we did not use it.

There is a significant use of scented air fresheners throughout the apartment. There seems to have been water damage in both the kitchen and main bath, which caused a musty odor. The kitchen lacked some useful equipment.

Good location with great views of the Clyde outside the living room window. The apartment was nice and spacious and modernly decorated. Beds were comfortable. Overall it was a nice stay, but we didn’t spend a lot of time in the apartment as we had plans.

There were a few issues for the stay which would’ve been more of an issue if we were to spend more time in the apartment: We hadn’t received the information of how to get the keys until we arrived at Glasgow - which I had to message to ask for this. Communication was via WhatsApp rather than Booking.com which I found a little odd as there was no explanation for this? There was a musty/damp smell in the bathroom and hallway and the bedding and pillows smelled damp also. The toilet seat in the bathroom wasn’t fitted properly. The shower in the en suite was a little outdated and was difficult to try and get it to run on a good temp and was just running on boiling hot regardless of what we changed on the shower. The tv wasn’t programmed and auto tuning wasn’t working so we were unable to use it and the wifi wasn’t particularly good - I reached out to the host to try and sort this but they never replied.

Very clean and spacious. Location on the edge of Glasgow not particularly fancy however very handy for accessing both the city centre and the west end, as well as only a short drive from the airport.

Availability of cutlery and plates limited, a few more would be an improvement.

Proximity is near to the city centre, nice balcony view, large space, generally good value for what you get.

Getting into the building is complicated. Lockbox moves around so it seems like they aren't supposed to be letting apartments here and have to constantly move keys to hide them. Communication was poor. Instead of messaging me through the Booking.com platform, or via email through booking.com like normal bookings do, this host wanted to send me text messages. Even after I contacted them a day in advance of my stay, asking for the instructions and letting them know I was travelling internationally and my phone might not work, they kept trying to send me text messages only. When I contacted them again upon landing and insisted I couldn't do text messages, they wanted me to use whatsapp. I had to specifically request that they message me through the booking.com messaging system, which seemed really weird and quite sketchy, like they didn't want it to be tracked? Instructions for getting into the building are of course quite elaborate because it is an apartment complex, not a hotel, so it was quite stressful to have to reach out and ask a second time upon arrival. Even with the instructions it took me about a half hour to get into the building. Between the hidden lock box across the street, the two different magnetic fobs so it's not clear which one is to get into the lobby, the maze to get to the correct door, having to turn the key twice to get the lock to open (I'm american so our locks are not like this) I nearly had a panic attack thinking I was never going to get into this building after traveling internationally and not having not slept for over 24 hours. Once inside there were some maintenance issues, smaller bathroom sink leaks onto the floor. Towel hooks falling off the wall. No silverware to be found anywhere in the place.

Clean and spacious with all the amenities.

Parking. It was a bit cramped and difficult to park.

Cozy and big space, well equiped

The contact with the host happened only few hours from arrival. Besides, there was leakage in one bathroom and a broken tower support in the other.
