The size of the room was adequate but very small

The house was beautifully presented , there was lovely little touches added like chocolate in the room, and the owner of the property was very helpful and welcoming would definitely return

The only thing I didn’t like was the bathroom was located next to the room. Any of the other guests could have seen me in my pj’s if I needed to use the toilet in the night.

Irina the host was lovely but otherwise we found the place really didn’t meet our expectations.

We paid nearly £400 for one night and the room we received smelled like it hadn’t been aired in a while, the bathroom was accessible from the entrance lobby and it smelled damp and was dated. The worst was the sleeping situation - the bed was so extremely uncomfortable, the room was hot and very loud. The moment the person upstairs walked or moved a chair we were woken up from the ceiling creaking loudly or the noise travelling. It’s very very noisy and we barely slept despite earplugs. I feel bad leaving a bad review because Irina was lovely. But the guest house should really invest in some high quality mattresses and bedding and also try to noise insulate the upper floor.

Location, not too far from the motorway to break up the journey.

The mattress was way too soft and uneven, I had to sleep “across” the bed to feel a little more comfortable. The only window was too high and is partially blocked by the wall, the only thing visible looking through the window was the sky, felt like being in a prison. The building was next to the roundabout which was noisy.
