Dimora Don Mimì

Mimi is an exceptional host - I never felled so welcome and taken care of. The apartment is really big and well equipped, just few steps from grocery stores. It's about 10 min walking to the old town - but this is not a disadvantage as you can easily park your car directly in front of the building (at old town this is not the case).

Apartment is amazing - only downside is when in the evenings teenagers are spending time in the nearby park - it was loud due often used firecrackers.

We had a very nice stay in Monopoli, the apartment was very clean and well-equipped. Perfect location, close to the train station, port and old town, very nice host. Perfect place for a family. We highly recommend it.

The apartment is very well-situated - close to the train station (approx. 10 min on foot) and the Old Town (roughly 15-minute walk). It also has all the necessary equipment. The beds are really comfortable. The WiFi network works reliably and there is an air conditioner in each room. The host, Mimmo, is very friendly and approachable. By way of a welcome, he treated us with coffee; there was also prosecco and some bottles of water prepared for our arrival. We highly recommend his restaurant (La Locanda dei Pescatori) which is situated opposite the Gate of the Ancient Harbour and offers exquisite local cuisine, specialising in seafood. Monopoli is a lovely town and it makes a perfect base for short excursions around the region (to places like Bari, Lecce or Alberobello).

**Fantastic Stay in Monopoli** From the moment we arrived and met Mimmo, our host, we knew our stay in Monopoli would be special. Mimmo greeted us warmly and remained incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our visit. The apartment itself was perfect for our needs, boasting two bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, reliable wifi, a washing machine, heating, and air conditioning. Its prime location meant that everything - the charming old town, a beautiful beach, the train station, and a supermarket - was just a short 10-minute walk away. While we had a car, street parking was convenient, although we did have to consider the weekly Tuesday market, which required finding alternative parking from Monday evening until Tuesday afternoon. The market, however, was a delight, offering fresh produce just a brief stroll away. Situated on the 3rd floor, the apartment treated us to lovely sunsets from its small balcony overlooking the lively street. One highlight of our stay was Mimmo's restaurant, La Locanda dei Pescatori, located in the old town. We frequented it several times and were consistently greeted with the same warmth and joy, making it a memorable part of our Monopoli experience. Overall, our time in Mimmo’s apartment was nothing short of wonderful. My friend and I cherished every moment and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again or recommend it enthusiastically to others. Mimmo’s hospitality and the apartment’s comfort and convenience truly made our stay in Monopoli unforgettable.

While these 2 items were not an issue for us, it’s important to note: - that there is no elevator, with about five flights of stairs to climb - something to consider for those with mobility concerns. - those with cars will need to consider the weekly Tuesday market, which requires finding alternative parking from Monday evening until Tuesday afternoon, with a bit of planning on Monday we didn’t have any problems.

We really enjoyed our stay at Dimora, the owner is very nice and his restaurant is fantastic (you must try "La locanda dei pescatori")! The apartment is very clean, good equipt and easy to find (near the train station and city center).

We liked absolutely everything about the location!

The apartment was very clean and spacious, beautifully decorated. It had everything we needed: plenty of dishes, an iron, a very comfortable bed, a large shower, and two balconies. The area was very quiet, with a supermarket, good cafes and restaurants just a few minutes away. The host was very hospitable and had excellent communication. The apartament is also very conveniently located near the train station and the city center. We felt right at home here.

We had a wonderful stay! The host was pleasant and welcoming. The apartment was spacious and clean, featuring three well-appointed rooms. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of tableware, which was very convenient. Additionally, the location was great—just a 20-minute walk to the old part of the city.

Very nice, friendly host, beautiful and modern apartment. Very easy access to train and bus station. Easy access to to the centre of the town.

No washing machine but it's only essential if you travel with kids so doesn't matter.

Outside the house is in pretty poor condition but inside everything is neat and clean. Great apartment!

The floor in the shower is dangerous slippery.
