"Lovely stay in our own oceanfront home with roof top!"

10.0

Loved the location as it was away from the White Town promenade but an easy 15min walk. The roof top made the entire experience amazing. Although we booked the smaller portion since the house was still being renovated we were given access to everything. Looking forward to the renovations being done as we didn't have a kitchen but were provided a kettle upon request. The balcony off the room has beautiful views but you'll need to use the floor fan as there is no air circulation. If you are sensitive to sound this is not the place for you. There is a temple across the street that blasts music and chanting every hour for 5 mins and only stops from 11p to 4a. I didn't mind as I have been in many countries with prayer calls but I can see how this can bother others. The courtyard inside was useless except for the light as there is no air flow. You REALLY want access to the roof, without the roof I wouldn't have enjoyed our 6 days there.

Sadly being in the village you witness first hand the locals throwing all their garbage in the ocean and doing their bathroom duties on the beach as well. We can only pray that India provides more facilities for waste disposal and locals are given the tools to dispose of waste properly. It broke my heart to sit on the roof enjoying the beach while person after person threw their garbage into the waters of our planet :(
