Cosy cottage near Alton Towers

The car park was right opposite and accessible using a key card which was provided. The property was well kept, clean and all facilities you would need. The shower was great, it had a fully working kitchen, the kids room had books and toys and there were also games. Although it had properties attached either side, there were no noise issues and the area appeared a nice area to stay in. The owner had left a bottle of wine and also a bag of mixed sweets for our son which was a lovely touch. There was also a pint of milk as well as teas, coffees, biscuits. There is a spar down the street, an Indian restaurant/take out a few metres down the street. The cottage was approximately 5 miles from Alton Towers which was perfect.

Everything was fine, we have nothing negative to say.

Really clean, fresh and modern. Great touch with the shortbread and bottle of wine, bar of chocolates on the bed for the kids, beds where very comfortable, Great location for Alton towers, 5/10min drive to everything. Ideal for a short stay, would definitely recommend, JCB headquarters is just across the road that has a man made lake which is great for a walk in the nice weather, plenty of ducks and swans etc

Can’t fault the property at all, clean, excellent location once we got our bearings. Some nice personal touches, toys and books for our kids and even some shortbread since we travelled from Scotland. Great communication from owner as well, directions, etc were spot on.

The location to visit Alton Towers was good and it was very convenient to park our car in the car park opposite the cottage for free. Amanda always kept us updated with emails prior to our arrival hence everything went on smoothly. We did not really had to call her at all for anything. Everything was just as we expected and the fact that she had lots of board games just made the kids so happy :-)

The beds were too soft for our liking but then again that is a personal preference. We like the hotel room style beds but that is not a negative just what we as a family prefer …

Great location for trip Alton towers, everything we needed for our trip with teenage daughter and her friend. Fresh and clean , delicious local curry house and 2 local shops all within walking distance.
