Amazing hosts. Pat and Terrell are so welcoming and accommodating. Gourmet Chef quality breakfast . Beautiful home. Perfect location if you want to visit Harkers Island, Beaufort, Moorehead City, Atlantic Beach, etc.

The location is great, about a 10-minute drive to the Harkers Island Visitor Center, making it easy to enjoy stargazing at night and take a day trip to explore Shackleford Banks and Cape Lookout. Breakfast was delicious each morning, and the host made me feel genuinely well cared for throughout my stay. The property itself is a delight, with a collection of exotic animals that guests can enjoy. The peacock, fancy looking geese, and chickens add a unique and charming touch to the overall experience.

"We loved it here! HIGHLY recommended!"

It was a guest room in a home, so we were met at the door by the host, who immediately made us feel welcome and gave us a tour of the home. The bed was quite comfortable and the private balcony was lovely. It was very quiet and we felt quite at home. The morning breakfast was amazing! We were treated like family from the moment we arrived! I would HIGHLY recommend this property to anyone wanting to get away for the night or for a week. It was also very convenient to catch the Cedar Island Ferry to Ocracoke from this location.

I wasn't expecting was to see house cats in the home. I don't remember anything in the description about the owner having cats and I'm quite allergic to cats. Maybe it was there and I missed it. I knew it was a pet-friendly property, which I was fine with (most people don't travel with their cats). But the owner did keep the cats out of the guest rooms so that made me feel better. The only thing I would change would be to have the cat information in the description if it's not already there (and I didn't see it).
