Mara Major Camp

Excellent choice for anyone who wants to enjoy an authentic safari experience. The camp is right next to the entrance and is an open camp so you might spot some animals on the premises - all kept super safe by the staff. The tents provide a luxurious glamping experience and the overall set up is respectful of local culture. The staff is super attentive with little details that show you they really care about their guests. Food is delicious and more than enough. My driver Sam was a rock star, very knowledgable of the are and game drives were awesome, packed with unique sightings and insights about the animals and park.

Treated so well. A magical trip. The staff could not have made us feel more welcome and feel like we struck gold at this beautiful property. Can't fault a thing! The masai experience was more than I could have imagined and of course the safari was a memory for life as was the masai singing and dancing. Truly phenomenal place. Unforgettable!

I liked kind of everything. - Personal had family vibe and they all took great care of us. Even it had this family vibe, it felt very professional and it’s visible that everybody went through extensive training. I really liked clarity about everything, small things like dining experiences (serving woman first, always coming from right side, cuttlery arrangment, dishes introductions, …). - The camp itself feels luxurious, clean, romantic and has this “wild feel”. It gave me “camping experience with a luxury”. It feels even more authentic than on photos as wild animals are getting into camp (everything is safe all the time) - we saw zebras feeding like 3 metres from our tent. - Tent itself was amazing, clean, luxurious, great view, very comfy (I did not expect such comfy bed) with electricity and hot water. One thing to which blow my mind was heated watter bottle every night in a bed, so your bed was preheated to nice temperature when getting in 😊 - Food, food was stunning. Some of the dishes I would not be afraid to compare to Mischelin star restaurants, it was that good. Basically whatever you ate, you could not pick wrong. Also what was pleasant was change of scenery for dinners - on one night we had dinner under the stars - very nice experience.

It mentioned over booking.com that the package is All-inclusive： game drives，accommodation，food & selective drinks alcoholic. Yet when we arrived the staff told us game drives is with extra. I don't know why there is such big mistake happened here. It has mentioned very clearly & we also have to pay for the alcoholic drinks 2 glasses of red wine. It is either the team has mis understanding about All inclusive or they have put wrong information about this. Very unhappy experience. Booking.com as a platfrom has done nothing to this. Disappointing.
