"Hostel at hotel prices."

4.0

It was clean and warm. The bathroom and toilet facilities are modern and clean. There is a kettle with tea and coffee in the rooms which were replenished daily. It’s in a beautiful rural location, about 20 minutes from Hay on Wye.

It is a hostel for hotel prices. The bathroom is outside, across a courtyard. The bedrooms are separated by a thin wooden wall with a large gap at the end, which meant the room was not at all soundproof. When our neighbours switched their light on, our room lit up. The breakfast is not included and is Β£11 extra which is not clear on booking as it’s advertised as B&B. The charge was for the room. There were four beds but only two of us. We felt that Β£234 was a lot of money for essentially a hostel. Also the courtyard has several steps and levels which are not lit in the dark, meaning a very risky walk to the loo at night!
