NZLocation was perfect
The piazza had a flood light on all night that shone into the house all night and the drapes were not able to block it out… kept us awake.
PLGreat location, despite the fact it's a few meters from the main street it's really quiet and cosy. One grocery store nearby, a lot of souvenir shops and places where you can eat. 8 minutes from buses that will take you to the port and all beaches in the area (marebuses, forget about walking there), 20-25 minutes away from Portoferraio. Building itself is gorgeous, it's beautiful inside and out, there's a magnificent view from windows, a lot of charming paintings all over the place, well designed house. Next to the building there's a small square where kids can go and play (it's not a playground but more like a super small amphitheatre).
For six people we only had one small pot, one giant pot, one small frying pan. Cooking on site was really difficult, especially with one knife and not enough mugs. No kettle (!) so havin' hot coffee in the morning to our breakfast was really hard to make. We had some problems getting our keys as they were located in Portoferraio (we were told about that the day we arrived to the island) but the host was kind enough to leave the door open and delivered keys himself. No bags for trashes nor cans so we literally kept everything in the kitchen (yeah, I know); when we noticed that host delivered us 3 trash bags but not enough to keep everything so we used our own bags instead - kind of weird solution. Trashes should be put in front of the house every evening, different type on different days but when we did that local dustman complained that seagulls torn our bag and scattered all trashes in the area. We were supposed to use cans instead but... we were not provide with them so we felt really confused.
