Poggio Del Sole

It is a small, family-run hotel, which made the atmosphere extremely peaceful, calm, and pleasant. We were given a room at the very top with a beautiful view over Forio, the surrounding area, and the sea — absolutely stunning. The room had everything we needed. The breakfast was fantastic. The family bakes a variety of pastries themselves, and there were both healthy and sweet options, which we really appreciated. When we arrived, we had some trouble finding a bus from Forio Port to the hotel, but after messaging the owner, he immediately came to pick us up. He also kindly drove us back to the ferry when it was time for us to leave. The staff were wonderful — everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful, which made our stay even better. We were also able to rent a scooter through the hotel, which was very convenient since the hotel is not located right in the centre of Forio. With the scooter, it was easy and quick to explore the island.

The only thing that could have been better was the bed, as it was not the most comfortable, and we would have preferred a proper double bed rather than two single beds pushed together.

My wife and I stayed at this family hotel for three nights in April, and we both agree that it was one of the best places we have ever been to. The staff—Amerigo and his wife—were incredibly kind and responsive. Amerigo picked us up from the port and dropped us off as well, which made everything very convenient. When we arrived, he gave us great advice about places to visit and also arranged a scooter rental through his brother. And believe me, having a scooter on this beautiful island was a fantastic idea. The location, as you can see from the photos, is magnificent. You can enjoy the sunset while relaxing in the spa. The breakfast was just right to start the day before heading out to explore. They also make excellent coffee—especially cappuccinos. Overall, we had an unforgettable time there and will definitely be back soon.

Die Lage ist für Sonnenuntergänge und Aussichten hervorragen, das bedeutet aber, dass das Hotel weit vom Strand ist. Man braucht einen Roller oder mit 20min Spaziergang zum Strand rechnen.

Een echte trouvaille, dit hotel. Wat een fijne locatie, prachtig uitzicht en lekker ruime kamer met balkon en ligbedden. daarnaast een groot terras waar het zwembad is, waar wij het ontbijt nuttigden. De eigenaren is niks te veel, ze staan continu voor je klaar om je te helpen. Echte lieverds. Je wandelt in n klein half uurtje naar Forio, superleuk dorp. Er gaat ook een bus. tip: neem de 197 of 198 bus waarmee je helemaal rond het eiland rijdt. Dagkaartje kopen en je kunt uitstappen waar je wilt.

Echt niets, het is een prachtige plek, goed bed, absoluut fantastisch rijk ontbijt en superlieve eigenaren.
