It was excellent and the scenery was great

No ironing board or iron could of even used bleach for glasses or Styrofoam cups for tea or coffee.

After a day of activities in town we loved coming back for quiet peaceful rejuvenating evening. We live in the country for a reason. Perfect retreat for us. Look forward to coming back! We liked there was plenty of area to explore on the property.

"Wonderful getaway only an hour away from the city and close to Blackhawk"

I'm so glad I found this place! It was huge, quiet, and comfortable. Only a 10-minute drive from Blackhawk and significantly cheaper than the hotels in Blackhawk on St. Patrick's Day weekend. The hosts were very responsive through messaging, and the place had everything we needed. We loved it, and want to stay there again with more people!

Overall, everything was perfect, but heating only through fireplaces was difficult to keep up with overnight. It was night when everything was going during the day, but when we went to sleep, the fires obviously went out, and we woke up freezing, and it took some time to warm up again. It didn't seem like the furnace worked, but it would be nice if it did, especially during cold months.

This house was clean, nicely updated, but still rustic and super roomy & comfortable! The beautiful scenery around the home was peaceful and secluded, but still easy to access. All the comforts of home to make family meals, enjoy games, and relax.
