Maison Du Soleil Self Catering

This is a rather old house with a beautiful view in a vary quiet area on the top of the hill. Note that it takes some expertise to get there by car. The host is always available and quick to reply. The house is big. All in all we had a good time there.

As said it is an old place and the equipment inside is old too. Furniture, kitchen equipment quite worn out. To me it was not a problem, but you should not expect a luxurious villa. In my opinion this being said is was a bit overpriced in comparison with other places on Mahe and LaDigue. My needs were however satisfied.

What a wonderful location! The views were spectacular even with changeable weather. Everything was clean, loads of room for us, good air conditioning in the bedrooms, wonderful welcome and Vincent helped out with everything we ever needed. Lovely comfy bed too.

The oven needs a little effort to get it to light but Vincent will help if you need him. Maybe a new can opener? But those are tiny niggles. Loved our time there and can recommend it thoroughly.

What a fantastic place to stay in Praslin. View is amazing and this is something I value a lot when booking an accommodation. Massive sea view and mountain view from every angle. Huge terrace. House is huge and I had it for myself. Bedroom has 3 beds and there is another bedroom like that. Big living room, kitchen, 2 covered terraces and 1 outdoor terrace. Many options available to hang out! Place is comfortable, clean, obviously super quiet as no neighbor around since it's lost in nature, washing machine available, fully equipped kitchen, good internet. You need a car to get there by the way as it's quite up the hill. SUV possibly better in order to park all the way up otherwise you can park a little bit below and walk up, which is what I did. Host is very nice. The dad and mom are living below the property and the son Vincent manages it. I dealt mostly with the dad. They are all very nice and even offered me some fish. Very remote place so you need to get your food up there. It's the kind of place I would want to come back again some day!

Kitchen could use some renovation some day. Flies are a bit of a problem at times. Place can get quickly dirty with all the dead insects. It's nature also, so was not a problem for me.
