Pour le prix et zanzibar, l’hôtel a plusieurs défauts - le personnel parle peu voire pas du tout anglais - la literie, ferme, je dirais même très ferme. - le linge de lit : un drap plus petit que le lit, pas de couette, une couverture sur demande. - l’eau chaude pas toujours chaude - la wifi pas au top hormis dans l’espace commun où ça passe un peu mieux mais bon…

Check in was decent but it looked like they were lacking social skills and english. Location is near good vibes on the beach and friendly locals. Beach boys are the only problem. You cant relax in peace because always they want to make some business. Bargirls are friendly but pole pole and lacking english some of them. They never understand us right what we want to order. They dont earn enough money, so I understand them. So the owner just want max profit and workers are paid minimum same as everywhere. They should pay them more but so many staff and they just stand around and do nothing. In Europe they would fire me, if I would be like that. I understand pole pole and its a nice that they give a chance people to earn some money but they should train them! They hardly understand english and they cant convert money from USD to € or even they national curency ( they had big problems and even charged me 7000 more in shilling as daily rate) for two smoothies on the tuesday. At the end when we checked out they brought a bill and said that we didnt pay smoothies from tuesday. We were shocked because we always pay upfront and always tip workers!! I payed in tanzanian shilling when I ordered two drinks and even gave a lady tip of 10.000 shillings (total 40k). We were sad because they were so unorganisized and I felt really sad after 3 good days we spend there. Place is without windows and without proper door. So couples watch out. Mediana age is for eldery 60+! There is no proper privacy. Cleaning ladies are always watching around if you are in the room and they want to make you a net and spray for insects even if you didnt want the first day. Mosqitues can come inside easily. There are termites and ants everywhere in the wood and shower is very slipery, so watch out eldery. Im young and I almost felt when I slipped with flip flops. They spray the room but at first cleaning lady turned every light on, then she opened the doors and let even more of them inside.

Nur Beach has always been a special place for me number 1 but not this time I am very disappointed and I absolutely do not recommend this place Why?Here are the reasons: 1) Nur Beach robs guests by charging a state tax of USD 7 per night per person - which is inconsistent with the applicable rules of collecting the tax, i.e. the so-called tourist fee in Zanzibar, because this fee is fixed and unchangeable and depends on the number of stars the hotel has - I would like to mention that Nur Beach is a 3-star hotel and the fee is USD 4 per night, the hotel manager Jamiel and his assistant claim that it is booking.com that imposes such fees, which is not true, because trying to explain the situation I received a message from booking.com that the facility sets such a fee, so 11 days of stay there was USD 77 - I expected a refund of the excess, but the hotel manager stated that it is impossible - I think it is a scandal, 2) everything is old - torn, dirty mosquito nets, old towels, dirty curtains in windows, problem with water in the room or complete lack of it - room no. 2, 3) dirty hotel beach, 5 sun loungers, 2 of which are broken, non-working outdoor shower - has not been working for 3 years ;) 4) neglected plants around the pool and around the cottages 5) very bad breakfasts - I received spoiled yogurt several times, pancakes are hard, fruit served in the morning was not always fresh - generally very bad food, lunch and dinner as well. To sum up: I absolutely do not recommend this place! Price inadequate to the quality of services!

The lies the staff gave me about getting my refund. Stating it's hotels.com who can give you the money back for my stay but it was actually the hotel's decision at the end of the day and they lied to me and pretty much made me pay for the room and not stay in it.

Conveniently located near the beach with a stunning pool. The upper-floor restaurant offers incredible views while dining. The meals are decent and satisfying. The staff was exceptional, always attentive and offering random snacks throughout the day. They also arrange excursions for you.

There is no fridge in the property.
