Gold Sun Villas

Pros : First & foremost. Location is EXCELLENT! Directly across beach access (the better part of Tolo where the beach is nice & wide and not too crowded). The beach has loungers u can rent, and about 50 m away there are watersport rentals, which the kids loved! Also 5 min walk from a cafe that serves Ipanema Espresso/Kawa Coffee, 10 mts walk from a grocery store. Superb. Furnishings in the villa were modern and tasteful. The kitchen was fully furnished with all the plates, glasses, utensils, etc. The owner also very graciously packed the kitchen with bottled water, coffee capsules, a fruit bowl, and a bottle of wine. The bedrooms were modern, clean, comfy and inviting, and came with everything you needed (towels, extra sheets/blankets/pillows). They also came with bathrobes (!) and room sandals, which was above and beyond. You could tell the room was prepared with love and care. Centralized AC per floor was a God send during the hot summer. And the view. I could stay an extra week just for that view! All in all, would definitely return & reccomend Gold Sun Villas ❤️

Cons : There was only 1 shower for the 3 rooms, and the bathroom itself was quite small (it took a bit of manouvering to go in and out). Also the villa is situated on a steep hill with several steps. Was not a problem for my family, but if you had a family member with mobility issues (say grandma or grandpa), it could become an issue.

Great location clean  has the perfect amount of privacy 

Bathrooms are a little small for tall guys like me.

not really suitable for 6 adults. small bathroom. top bedroom lacks privacy, is dark and headroom over bed is too low. badly designed interior. not suitable for anyone with mobility issues.

Location, location, location! This property is at the quieter end of the beach in Tolo. It’s a very family-friendly spot for swimming and playing in the sand. It sits above the road and is set back so the view is breathtaking. We were traveling with our aging parents and teenage kids. Although the common spaces are small, the layout is great, plenty of room for everyone and lots of spots to see the view and catch the breeze. We especially appreciated the clothes washer and racks for drying. The driveway is very steep and the house has a lot of stairs, also, there is one shower

The shower is very small, ingenious, actually, but our taller family members had run ins.
