Amble Inn Motel

There wasn't much to like about this motel. The bed was reasonably comfortable and the host was very welcoming. She had turned on our electric blanket and heating as it was a very cold night.

The shower was primitive with a simple base surrounded by a plastic curtain. The water in the shower was warm and there was no hot water in the basin taps. Our bed was only a few metres away from SH1 so it was incredibly noisy all night. The heating was basic - a three bar heater plugged into an extension cord. The battery in the smoke alarm was flat so chirped much of the night. The decore in the kitchen and bathroom was very dated and low grade.

staff was very friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable.

Could be better as room heating as there was only one radiant heater. Hot water was not hot. Noise from rail and traffic.

Jewel was great, friendly, helpful. Made the stay enjoyable thank you.
