The Beach Talpe

spectacular view from the room to the ocean 🌊 and sound of the ocean it’s incredible that’s will stay with me , I enjoy it so much . location so perfect, it’s out from crowd , not so many people, you can always drive to the center 7/10 min but if you going to Sri Lanka to Enjoy ocean 🌊 and Nature this hotel is perfect, I think. Staff at the hotel , so attentive and caring they were doing everything for me , to enjoy my stay with them . I appreciate and grateful to them . I really relaxed and enjoyed my stay at The Beach Talpe hotel , I’d wish to come back here.

It is a lovely hotel. The food was delicious. The most exceptional was the customer service! From the receptionist, the cleaners, the cooks, the wait-staff to the security person. It was a warm & friendly place. A special shout out to Dilina, Lakinal, and Rasangana for their outstanding food service. Thank you to the manager, Bernard.

The Beach Talpe was the perfect escape. We stayed in a side sea view room on the first floor, with windows offering partial ocean views and a cozy, relaxing vibe. The staff’s warm hospitality stood out, and they went above and beyond to make our stay special, including arranging a memorable seafood dinner by the beach. The fresh, flavorful Sri Lankan dishes were a highlight. The serene location and personal touches made it a getaway to remember. We will return for more

We stayed here with our 2 kids, who are under 10 years old. The pool is small but very clean, and the staff offered some pool toys and kickboards for the kids, which was nice. The beach is beautiful and we had lots of fun in the ocean. The food portions are generous, and the kitchen was happy to make the kids' favorite fish and chips every day. There are turtle hatcheries nearby for the kids and the Galle Fort is fun to explore with kids too but make sure to take a sun hat and sunscreen. Our room had 2 air cons so we were very comfortable. The hotel is basic but clean and the staff are really kind and friendly.

Arrived 31 December after a long drive. Arrived to an absolutely wonderful reception from Prabu and other hotel staff

The only recommendation i would make is to make the rooms soundproof as the noise of the waves is a little unsettling

The breakfast was plentiful and the service was friendly with smiling staff The room was cleaned each day Rooms were air conditioned We complained to management as did many other people. We were offered a free dinner. On leaving I asked for a discount and they granted 10% reduced. The staff were all lovely and kind

The garden was non existent - consisted of a pile of rubbish that was not screened off There were several timber outdoor chairs and lounges but they lacked a softening cushion and no umbrellas so had to be in full sun The pool was beside an old and dirty wall - not able to sit or lie around the pool area The outdoor dining area was all concrete with pedestal fans and not a single pot plant for beautification The shower in bathroom was broken and water trickled out from 3 points - the tap, the hand held shower and the overhead shower but all 3 at same time so only a trickle. They should not continue to advertise as 5* as they told us they have received many complaints and acknowledged that it was misleading guests expectations
