Koh Kood Chalet

The location is great for getting around the island with a scooter.The room is decent. And it is in walking distance of one of the best beaches on Ko Kut.

The towels were awful and scratchy. Our room was not made up for a few days even after I changed the "do not disturb" sign and enquired at the front desk. The food and drinks at the Medee are overpriced and mediocre. The cleaning system can be improved.The service level was okay. Upon booking it is made to seem like you can use the Medee facilities but we were turned away and told that we can't use the sunbeds as it is only for Medee hotel guests, and this after we ordered drinks from the Medee bar. The service in general was quite lousy and even as paying guests, we were made to feel quite unwelcome. And for that reason I would not book this hotel again.

Large and bright accommodation with everything you need except it would have been nice to have a small table and chair to work at on the laptop. Great staff that were very friendly and helpful. Water stopped working, reported it and it was sorted immediately. There was no drying rack for wet clothes but again this was sorted very quickly by the staff. The bed was huge and very comfortable. Staff came to clean everyday upon request. Restaurant at resort is right on the beach and very relaxing. Staff helped me to book tickets to Hat Lek boat crossing.

Geckos were able to easily get in and out of the chalet so there was a lot of Gecko poo everywhere. WIFI signal strength was very poor and made online meetings and watching films difficult. The lock on the door to the chalet was difficult to manage because it didn’t lock easily. The accommodation is far from the main resort and beach along a dusty hot road. A scooter is needed.

Rooms are in a good location,5 minute walk to the beach 🏖️ The rooms are very big and clean. Staff is friendly. You can rent bikes from them and the are in very good condition!

Beautiful bungalows

The resort restaurant and reception is far and there’s nobody you can talk to right away .

Nice clean and comfortable place. Connected to a bigger resort where you can get breakfast and use their “private” beach. Could rent scooters from the owner. Really lovely people and lovey nice kind owner of the property. Close to a good cafe.

If you are a solo traveller it’s not a good place to meet others. However if you are with partner or family it’s ideal.

Quite location. Massive room. This accommodation is actually part of the Me Dee Hotel resort down the road, so you have breakfast down there. As well as being able to use the private beach facilities such as sun beds, kayaks, SUPS, hammocks, beach drinks service. Able to hire a bike easily through the hotel (best way to get around and down to breakfast as it’s a long walk). Buffet style breakfast. Staff were really friendly offered a great service

It’s quite far from the hotel resort, and there are no staff around for security or for check-in. We arrived and had to call the number given on booking.com to have someone come and meet us. It’s obviously very new - we had no lightbulbs in our lamps so had to ask for those. I wanted to ask the hotel about tours/things to do on the island, but was only recommended things organised by the hotel. Which is fine, but we were happy to do group tours, and weren’t looking for a private boat trip. We had to research and organise ourselves.
