Wow, for my first solo trip, it was amazing from start to finish, the communication from the hosts was brilliant and very reassuring with being on my own. The overall Pod was fantastic, all facilities that was needed was available. Very clean and tidy. Had the best night sleep due to the very comfortable bed. The retreat is in a wonderful location, located not far from pubs, attractions and lots of walking. With the hot tub being warmed up and ready on arrival was fantastic, being able to make the most of my time admiring the beautiful surroundings whist relaxing in the hot tub with a gin or two… i would highly recommend the Hinoki Retreat and I will definitely be back. Thankyou so much xx

Amazing little hideaway cabin in the woods. Like a little slice of heaven. The hosts were amazing catering to all our needs. Couldn't recommend enough, can't wait to come back. Thank you for a beautiful weekend.

The most perfect getaway, even better than the pictures can show! The hosts were amazing - they’re so attentive and go the extra mile for you. Would 100% recommend this stay.

This is a gorgeous little cabin, well decorated, and very cosy. It feels very private as it's the last of the three options on site, there also is a screen shielding the view of the hot tub from the main path to make you feel more comfortable. We were provided with some wood and kindling for the fire pit and indoor log burner to get us started, and there's also the option of buying further supplies on site at a very reasonable price. The hot tub was pre-lit for us and was the perfect temperature on arrival, it's fairly easy to keep the fire going to keep the water at temperature (the info pack proved useful for us as 2 not very outdoorsy people). All glassware, cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils are provided, along with the supplies to wash them. Shower gel and toilet paper were also provided in the shower facilities. It definitely felt very well thought through in order to ensure an easy and comfortable stay. Overall a lovely little place for a relaxing night away.

My only grumble would be the lack of space to put items indoors, there are several hooks and a couple of small rails and hangers for clothes which was great for us for one night, however I could see clothes storage being an issue if we had stayed for the whole weekend. We also feel a shelf, or a slightly larger table by the cutlery and crockery would be beneficial for food and drinks storage.

The secludedness of the place really nice location. The hot tub was nice and really easy to use. The pod itself although a little small was beautiful and contained everything we needed for a lively relaxing weekend. We were lucky enough to see deer, hares and bats during our stay, which was really nice whilst relaxing in the hot tub.

The logs were a little large and i found it hard to break them down to smaller pieces with the axes. Perhaps smaller pieces for those of us not so young and spritely. Perhaps a small sink either inside or outside the shower room to wash your hands and brush your teeth.

Very set up with clear instructions and beautifully placed will definitely come again 🙏

Unique situation, lovely undiscovered area compared with the usual North Yorkshire Moors towns, Accommodation is of a back to basics nature, with solar lights and your torch, everything is a case of planning your activities outside the camp with a view of getting back to a warm hot tub which is the Star of the show.

Probably the simple thing if making a brew, involves the making of a fire to heat up the kettle, a small portable gas stove would be a lot easier.

Had such a relaxing time, it was just what I needed.. stayed for a 3 day midweek break away.. Everything was nice and clean. We had everything we needed, and more... would definitely go again.. A big thank you to the lovely people who run the place.. keep up the good work you're very much appreciated.
