OLIVE TREE LAKE VIEW APARTMENT

Great view, comfortable beds, clean apartment, spacious enough for 2 Location is 15-20 minutes walk to the main part, but we liked that. If you had mobility issues it would be difficult.

Staff non existent. We had no hot water the first morning, i messaged and called the lady - no answer. She replied 2 hours later, by which time we'd both had to have freezing cold showers and left the apartment. No explanation or told whether fixed, no apology.

The view was incredible. Apartment was perfectly located for a short walk into the town (albeit it wasn't flat). We will be back.

View from the balcony and yard were amazing and the apartment was light and bright. The property was very clean. Communication with host was good. It was the right size for two people. Bathroom was a good size and spotless.

Better instructions on how to use the garage key. Kitchen lacking basic items - dish towel, paper towels, napkins. Better instructions on WiFi and heat/AC. These should be included in the binder. Additional blanket or throw for couch as apartment was cold at night.

The view from the balcony is amazing! And, there was even a side yard with additional seating. The building was quiet, was a nice area, and walkable to "town". (Be ready for moderate hills) It was nice to have access via Whatsapp text messages to the owner. They were very responsive and quick to answer. Also, check out the little cafe you'll find on your way up and down to town. They have great pizza and sell beer/wine to go. Say hi to Antonio! He's there early morning til night.

Parking was super tight. I'd recommend parking across the street in a small lot, rather than the parking garage. Also, the blower dryer had a short in it, so it didn't work properly. It was also a little difficult to find your way out of the building the first time. But, once you get it, it's easy.

Everything you need is there. I love the little snacks they leave for you and coffee pods which was really nice. Saved us going into town just for a coffee and you can enjoy it every morning on the balcony.

There were a few big wasps hanging around the balcony, not sure if there is a nest near by but that was it.

We loved the locality of Olive Lane as it was Slightly out of the main Bellagio Area set up on a hill which provided the most amazing views of Lake Como

- check in: arrived at the time of check in to find the cleaner had only just arrived and the apartment was so dirty from the previous guests. The host did not answer our calls despite saying she would be available to help us. We had to leave and come back an hour later. - cleanliness: because the cleaner was late she did a very rushed job so the apartment was filthy and we had to clean it ourselves. We also had to clean every single utensil and kitchen item as everything was dirty. - host: I tried contacting the host through the booking.com app multiple times before our stay to find out how to get there / details of the stay and had no response. The day before we were due to arrive I found a number to contact and was then sent someone else’s number to message via WhatsApp. Whilst we were having issues with the check in she just ignored our calls and then when we finally reached her via text she wasn’t very apologetic and just said “I don’t know what to tell you?” - shower: after about 5 minutes in the shower it starts to smell really bad. I have no idea why but seems there is a drainage problem. - bed and pillows: unbearably uncomfortable. - kitchen / amenities: this apartment is not stocked well at all and missing basic kitchen amenities - eg tea towel, salt, cleaning spray. - parking: unless you have a mini or tiny car I would NOT recommend using the car park as it is extremely tight and difficult to park. - wifi: wifi password didn’t work and when we asked the host she told us the whole of Bellagio has an issue with internet which didn’t make any sense because it wasn’t a connection issue, it was an issue with the password.

Absolutely amazing location, easy to find. The room was very clean and the balcony view was amazing! 100% intent to book again! Perfect final stop for our drive to como from Manchester UK and most convenient secure parking garage so the car was locked up and safe while there not needing to worry about parking during our stay as everything was within walking distance or a ferry away. Great info book with recommendations from the host. Such a magical place, great value for money.
