Home sweet home

Perfect place to spend two weeks. Me and my friend had our own rooms and bathrooms. The apartment is quiet, you can sleep well. The internet worked well in general, in one bedroom it doesn't work at all, but in the other rooms it works. The apartment is safe, we kept our passport, money etc. there without any worries. The kitchen has a large fridge-freezer, kettle, microwave and stove/oven. At first we didn't have enough dishes and cooking utensils, but we got everything we needed during the same day. It's convenient that the owner's family lives in the apartment next door and the whole family is hospitable and helpful. We also got a ride to the airport in the midnight and we could have gotten to the apartment at night when we arrived, but we thought that check in at night is not possible. There are towels too, although they are not mentioned in the amenities. Just bring toiletries (hand soap, shampoo, shower gel), they are not included.The washing machine works well and there is a drying rack. The machine display is in Russian, which we don't understand, but we got a translation into English from the owner. He helps in everything in the best possible way. Choose this place and you will get to know the wonderful hospitality of the locals..Dushanbe is a great city and the apartment is within walking distance of most of the city center's attractions.There is also a grocery store, Dushanbe shopping center and a great Sultanbey Turkish restaurant near the apartment. The food is delicious, extensive menu and affordable.

The only thing I didn't like was the hard mattress, but that's a matter of taste. You need internet to check in so you can send a message that you are outside the apartment or you have to call. We went to the Sultanbey restaurant next door where the staff called the owner because we didn't have a local Sim card and calling would have been really expensive. The owner came to pick us up from the restaurant. Easier if you ask for a ride from the airport
