"Not as expected in this century."

Breakfast options were exceptable Lounge service was good

Having to get out of bed at 10pm to move my car. Poor choice at dinner with small portions of fish and hard vegetables. Poor service in the restaurant. My friendโ€™s dinner was served 10 minutes after ours.

Peace and quiet, hotel granduer.

A film in cinema would have been good. Beer selection - no real ale in draft or bottles.

Room was nice, bed comfy, garden view nice, shower nice, loved gels 7 nice wardrobe for biker gear to hang-up in.

Under sheet was squashed against wall ! Did not release i had one til next morning. Duvet was warm all night (26th May 2026) as it was a warm week. Woke up a couple of times during night too warm. If i had known about under sheet i would have slept with just it over me instead of duvet.

Very spacious and majestic grand old hotel with a wiff of The Shining. Good size room. Good beds. Warm. Quiet. Parking out the front.

It is located in such a beautiful town and the facilities and grounds are lovely.

Bed was a bit hard for my comfort. Otherwise lovely and comfortable.

Great hotel in an ideal location. Bed was comfy and staff were really friendly and helpful.

The sound proofing in these old buildings is never great but I always travel with ear plugs so no complaints
