Cardiff 2 Bedroom Entire Apartment Near Principality Stadium

Helpful communication at beginning to try to get tv working . Clean and nice bedding . clean and good shower . 10 mins walk to centre of town .

The property bore no resemblance to the picture , it had a graffitied shop shutter and single door , not plain mid terrace as in the picture . The automated room spray kept going off and made it smell a bit odd . sensor light kept coming on at night from movement in the outside corridor so was hard to sleep. Beds too small for two people . bathroom door badly fitting so hard to shut properly . sitting room carpet not clean , someone else’s hair in it , not hoovered properly . no bedside light and could only get into double bed from one side .

The property was in a great position for all that Cardiff has to offer, a short 10 minute walk from the main streets & the train station. The property was very clean & well presented with all the amenities you require.

All communication prior to arrival was via email & thro’ Booking.com & fine with quick responses, however we were not given a contact number. The access code we were given for the key lock was incorrect, so on arrival we were stuck outside with an 18 month old toddler while we awaited an email response. In the end we walked in to the City & went back later. Good job it wasn’t raining! On night 2 there was a party in the adjoining apartment & the resulting mess left in the alley way was a disappointment as it was not cleared up before we left.

Space and accommodation was great. Location was excellent

Entrance passage way contained a lot of rubbish and parking restrictions an issue so had to leave car at a distance from accommodation.

On arrival at the property, there was no electricity (I checked the fuse board) - so answering this review with 'it was fine' is just not true. When I was in the property, there was no electricity, lighting, fridge, shower, WiFi etc. When I called SW Property, I was told that I, therefore, couldn't be accommodated on this basis - as they couldn't guarantee when an emergency electrician could come out to the property and didn't have the time to wait in as I was due at the stadium to host guests. I couldn't risk there still being no power when I got back from the event - particularly as a single female. They told me I needed to book and stay elsewhere - and that I would be reimbursed the total costs along with the difference between that and the more expensive accommodation that was the only thing available in the vicinity. I spoke to the agent again when standing in the reception of the new hotel and was once again assured that I wouldn't be out of pocket. I was told that the Booking.com policy is that the agent needs to withdraw the accommodation and I was told this would be happening. The agents subsequently marked me as a no-show and nearly a month later, have only refunded the deposit. No communication from them (despite saying they have contacted me, I have had no contact since 6th June). The last member of staff I spoke to put the phone down on me and they appear to be ignoring the Booking.com agents too. I am still £417 out of pocket.
