Jukung Dive Resort Bali PENIDA

We spent two amazing days at Jukung Dive Resort. The property's location is on top of a hill surrounded by forests and with amazing views of the sea. They have an infinity pool which is quite big and well maintained. This resort is primarily a dive resort where they train you for scuba and they conduct excursions to the best dive spots in Penida. The team took us to Manta Bay where we spotted 4 Mantas and Crystal Bay which was a fabulous experience. Overall hospitality is top notch and Richard and team go out of the way to make it memorable. They also arranged a taxi for us to visit the East Coast as well as the West Coast. If you are planning to hire cabs, I would recommend them as their rates are competitive and provide good cars. Overall a very good stay and I would recommend.

I had given the feedback on the following to Jukung team which they mentioned would be worked upon: 1. Some parts of the property need maintenance - Fans not working in the dining area and rooms need some better maintenance. 2. Food was average. This is something they should definitely work upon as Nusa Penida has limited restaurants and the property being far from eateries, guests expect good quality food in-house.

The view from the room is breathtaking and the property itself is simply beautiful. The staff is so-so kind and cooperative! In short notice they let us check in earlier and also let us take a shower after checking out before returning to Bali. Breakfast was delicious, also the possibility to rent a motorbike is so useful! Thanks to the staff for helping us organising transfers to and from the harbour and also the snorkeling trip to Manta Point. Also the infinity pool and restaurant is one of the most beautiful I’ve seen during our visit in Bali.

The facility itself needs some retouch, as for example the divider on the terrace is broken so 3 apartments share one terrace and the divider paravans are just… laying there. At arrival we didn’t have hot water, after informing staff initially the response we received was a simple “noted”.🙂 Well it’s such an appreciated initiative to use water economically however it’s not so ”green” or whatsoever to have to run the water for minutes right before it gets heated! During early morning hours we heard several times loud rumour from upstairs such as banging doors and moving furniture so I believe there’s some renovation work going on, which disturbed our sleep. There must be some leaking since the ceiling in the bathroom is mouldy and wet. Also cleaning should be more precise as at arrival we’ve found chunks of hair in the bathroom…

Die Lage hat einen super Ausblick zu bieten, wobei das Ambiente nicht dazu einlädt, diesen zu genießen.

Die Hotelanlage scheint immer noch im Aufbau zu sein und gleicht einer halben Baustelle, obwohl es an anderen Ecken wie den Gästezimmern bereits heruntergewirtschaftet ist. Wir bekamen ein Zimmer ohne Safe, wobei wir das explizit gebucht hatten und unser Zimmer wurde nicht gereinigt. Erst nach Ansprache diesbezüglich wurde dies unverzüglich behoben. Der Pool, der Balkon und der Aufenthaltsraum laden nicht zum Verweilen ein. Das Frühstück haben wir ausgelassen, da es weder liebevoll zubereitet noch lecker war.

Restaurantion difficile, un jours vous pouvez et le lendemain vous ne pouvez pas

Het uitzicht en de infinity pool waren prachtig. Prima kamers, met connecting doors. Waren zeer tevreden over mogelijkheid om duik/snorkel tour te regelen. Personeel was vriendelijk en deden hun best om alles voor ons te regelen.

Personeel was niet altijd aanwezig bij de bar. Veel op de menukaart was ‘sold out’. Misschien kan het van tevoren aangegeven worden. Locatie is afgelegen en op een berg, geen restaurants en winkeltjes in de buurt, maar je kan bij het hotel wel lekker eten met een prachtig uitzicht en sunset.

Spectacular location above Nusa Penida, the view is what made me want to stay here but overall everything was excellent, the room was comfortable and quiet, the restaurant offers a stunning view, also there is absolutely no one around, from the balcony of my room I simply could not see any other settlement. The host was most kind and we had a really nice chat on arrival. I felt really good here.

Not so much space in the room.
