Najd Luxury Camp

This was probably the highlight of our trip. Wadi Rum is stunning, the desert tours were a great experience, and the food was excellent. We chose this camp based on the great reviews, and it truly lived up to them. Highly recommended — thank you for the warm hospitality. We’ll definitely be back.

Ali and his family provided us with warm hospitality and add-on adventures in his camp, the dinner was delicious and sunrise breakfast was one for the books. Will definitely recommend for other travellers, as value for money is great.

The location was great and the food was good

It would be hugely welcomed to see the staff treat animals with some kindness.

Great camp with a select number of bubble tents, actually located inside the Wadi Rum reserve - vast majority of the camps on here register a location inside the reserve but are actually in the surrounding area instead. All tents are front facing and look great inside, the photos don't do them enough justice. The pricing for the activities is reasonable, and the food might just be some of the best you'll have in Jordan.

Not a drawback per se, but as a specific type of jeep tour sight (i.e. canyon, petroglyphs) might be covered by a location other than the one you'd expect, I'd recommend being specific if you have any must-see spots in mind.

We were absolutely thrilled with our stay at Najd Luxury Camp — everything looks exactly like the photos. The camp only has five bubble tents, which makes it feel very private. Our tent faced the sunrise, so the morning sunlight poured right in. The air is very clean, and while you might see one or two tiny dots on the horizon, it still feels like you have the desert all to yourself. The camp is perfect for watching the stars at night, thanks to its quiet and almost complete lack of light pollution. We booked quite spontaneously, and Ali was immediately responsive. He contacted us through Booking with a WhatsApp number, and we were able to communicate directly with him. He arranged a convenient pick-up point, picked us up, and even took us straight on a Jeep tour through the desert. Everything was transparent, including pricing, and there was a wide variety of options — no pressure at all. It felt very friendly and welcoming. We booked half-board, and the meals were excellent. Dinner was a traditional Bedouin barbecue — very tasty and more than enough. Breakfast the next morning was a classic Jordanian spread, also delicious. Our bed was the most comfortable we’ve ever slept in, and the shower had very hot water — a real treat after a day in the desert. Overall, we had an incredible experience and can highly recommend Najd Luxury Camp to anyone visiting Wadi Rum.

If we were to mention a small improvement, it would be a more detailed introduction to the bubble tents. For example, we couldn’t get the air conditioning to work at first, and it got quite warm in the morning as soon as the sun shone in. Also, while there is Wi-Fi in the camp, it is limited, and it might be helpful to have a quick guide on emergency contacts. These are minor points and easily solved, but we thought it was worth mentioning.
