Sliema Cosy Penthouse with BBQ

Location was perfect, balcony briljant, beds and shower in good condition

Chairs on the balcony are broken and the kitchen supply is very low. Cooking a meal with that pans is almost impossible for a family

The rules of the house are plenty and detailed, so one must pay attention, as the host advises, and most important, be prepared one day before the arrival there, that is when the host sends them to knowledge. Considering that the only option is compliance with the rules -unless of course there is no discomfort to penalties- and taking into account that personally I followed them by the book, I would suggest some of them related to the host to be rewritten right or be adjusted to the specific guest(s). To be more specific : When check in takes place _strictly_ no earlier than 15:00, the host should be concious enough to send the code to enter the house, especially when he is aware, like in my case that my family [with 2 kids of 3 and 11 years old] has arrived from 12:00, not to say that if he was of a more gentle nature, he would set it a priority to fasten up the procedure and comfort us the first day of our arrival to an unknown place. Secondly, in the information given (rules of the house) is written that " If you arrived in Malta earlier, you can leave your luggage in a safe place, free from charge, having previously warned Michael about the early arrival time at the accommodation" which didn't happen in my case, although I had on time informed and before even getting the house rules. Instead, the host sent me a message about luggage storage in Malta. Additionally, in the house roules the following are written, about the transportation from the airport: " You can also ask Michael to meet you at the airport and give a lift to the penthouse for 20 euros charge" Again in my case that didn't happen because as he informed me there are no proper seats for kids in the vehicle. And that is correct, so please add this useful information to the rules. Last but not least, there was no shampoo in the bathroom as it is written in the facilties offered.

Great location, very nice and cosy apartment

The location was good and easy accessible to ferry, buses, restaurants, seafront, and bars. It was immaculately clean when we arrived and had a good variety of kitchen utensils and crockery/glassware. The roof terrace has the sun from early morning until early evening.

There were no sun loungers for the roof terrace which is a shame as it is big enough for them. The bathroom is very compact (clean and usable with very powerful shower though).

Very comfy, spacious, clean, and well-equipped apartment. All you need, incl. washing machine, dishwasher, fridge, separate freezer etc. The large roof terrace is a nice add-on, there also is a gas BBQ, which we didn't use, though. Adding a slight sense of decadence, the lift brings you right into the place, which is very handy. Very good water pressure and plenty hot water for Maltese standards thanks to some kind of boosting pump and a large enough boiler. Check-in and checkout a breeze. Restaurants, bars, convenience stores, groceries and Lidl supermarket in easy walking distance, bus stop Chalet and public car park just a two minutes walk away. All in all a very pleasant experience.

Nothing to complain about really, just a few comments: The door to the second bedroom remained locked, even though we booked the whole apartment. Did not bother us, but could be a problem for non-couples seeking individual bedrooms. The hose of the shower will need to be replaced soon (but still did its job flawlessly during our stay). Bathroom floorspace somewhat limited – not a dealbreaker, though, and common for most Maltese apartments anyway.

So helpful to have a lift to the flat. Good location, despite nearby renovation works, Good Lidl about 700m away. Good size flat incl. nice balcony with drying rack and BBQ. Kitchen had almost everything you could ever need, including dishwasher and washing machine. Excellent TV and broadband service.

Needs some more simple glassware, proper size tea/coffee mugs, beach towels and a comfortable chair or two relax in. Sofa rather low for anyone over 6 foot. A couple cracked tiles needs attention, but plenty clean. Beds of medium quality, but plenty of pillows.
