The Lotaz Hotel

I booked this hotel after seeing very positive reviews on Booking.com and ratings from many international guests, so I expected a much better experience. Unfortunately, the reality was very disappointing. The room lacked basic amenities such as tissue paper, and despite requesting it from the staff, it was never provided. While the staff were polite and friendly, they were not helpful in resolving the issues we reported. The shower was not functioning properly, and there was visible fungus/mold in several areas of the room and bathroom. The room also had a strong damp, musty smell. The blankets, bedding, and even the cupboard smelled humid and stale, as if they had not been properly cleaned or dried for a long time. The hotel provided an extra bed for my 9-year-old daughter, which I appreciated. However, no proper blanket was provided for the extra bed. Instead, there was only a torn blanket cover in very poor condition, and it also had the same unpleasant damp smell. We could not use it. Another issue was the hotel's location information. The listing states that it is only 400 meters from Lulu Mall, but this appears to be the direct distance. The actual walking distance is over 1.5 kilometers, which can be misleading for guests who expect to be able to walk there easily. Overall, I found the cleanliness, maintenance, and accuracy of the listing to be well below expectations. I hope management addresses these issues so that future guests have a better experience.
