Old Coach House

The location was fantastic. It felt like you was in the middle of nowhere yet only a short drive to anywhere. The views were stunning. Nigel and his family so welcoming and friendly nothing was to much trouble. Milk in the fridge, flowers on the table just those extra little thoughtful added touches.

Absolutely loved the location, the views are wonderful, it is really safe for children with a play area and swings, wendy house etc. fields for dogs. I was really surprised how good it was. The hosts and their family could not be nicer, safe parking and the accommodation was so comfortable. I cannot praise it enough and will definitely be back. The log fire was the finishing touch at the end of the day, heaven.

I didn’t like leaving.

Great quiet location. Brilliant space for the dog and nice and warm on an incredibly cold half term week! Good sized kitchen with everything you need and interesting upstairs layout. Really nice cosy cottage feel.

Fire made the cottage a bit Smokey on our last night, but reported to Nigel (owner) who is fixing it. Otherwise, nothing to report!

Cottage was in a fabulous quiet country location ideal for exploring the Peak District. Stayed in January and was so cosy and warm and had everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay .

It is a lovely cosy, warm cottage, perfect for October. It is well equipped (although no dishwasher). The dogs loved having the field to run around in. Nigel was very friendly and helpful.

Lovely house in a gorgeous place that is great for exploring the Peaks. Nigel , who hosts the cottage was away but contacted us before we arrived explaining where we could pick up the keys. Other family members from his family called in to check all was okay and we had all we needed. His brother gave us some freshly laid eggs. Our car broke down but we were able to enjoy some lovely walks directly from the cottage. An added bonus was the local brewery in the next door farm ( summer opening only). We spent a lot of time in the garden as we were lucky with the weather. Bed was comfy and the house was equipped with all you would need.

Cottage downstairs was a little dark, but I guess in Winter that would add to its cosiness and in Summer it didn't matter as we were mainly outdoors.

The owner , nigel was friendly and very welcoming. The area was child friendly aswell and with great views and scenery. Would definitely recommend

There wasn't anything particularly I didn't like.
