Location is amazing - beautiful

A smidge difficult to get taxi in thiis area - but nit the fault of the property- its so beautiful because its remote-ish

Property was superb and in a fabulous location.

It was very lovely warm and cozy very clean would recommend it to anybody

Le logement était très agréable et fonctionnel, l'environnement superbe. L'expérience au final est très positive.

Nous avons mis un peu de temps à comprendre ou se situait notre location parmi toutes celles qui étaient disponibles. Je pensais que tout l'établissement s'appelait "the old stables" alors qu'en fait ce n'était que notre appartement. J'ai donc mis du temps à le trouver sur Google Maps. Aussi, nous avons mis du temps à trouver les clés qui étaient sur la porte intérieure. Enfin, il manquait un drap dans un lit à notre arrivée. Le propriétaire nous l'a apporté plus tard. Nous avons trouvé les lits pas assez larges, et pas assez fermes à notre goût.

The host Callum was most helpful and gave us useful information about the area so we could make the most of our short stay. The property was stylishly decorated, and comfortable and was situated in beautiful grounds.

A small chest of drawers instead of the bedside table in the downstairs bedroom would have been helpful as we had to leave our things in our case on the floor. There were no coverings to two small windows in the upstairs bedroom which allowed early morning light in.

The house is beautiful, tidy and the decor is lovely too.

Great weekend retreat - fantastic hosts

The mattress in the downstairs bedroom was very, very soft

The accommodation was well-presented and clean. It felt totally rural but was actually within range of deliveries from the local supermarkets and takeouts. You will find supermarkets [and charcoal] etc. nearby. Salisbury well worth exploring but there are a LOT of interesting things to see and places to go within easy reach and if you come here, you need more than a long weekend. We had the most amazing weather and were pleased to find barbecue facilities The owners were absolutely brilliant! They made themselves ‘available’ whilst not being intrusive — and notably welcoming of dogs [often ‘pet-friendly’ accommodation isn’t]. We were ostensibly for a wedding and some sight-seeing. And the hosts were able to arrange dog-sitters for our furbabies which we meant we could all go. The sitters were clearly at ease with dogs and very flexible about hours. So we were able to do a bit of sightseeing as well. There was a humongous paddock right outside the door — our Ridgeback said he felt like he had died and gone to heaven! And the Jack-Spaniels loved it too. Perfect for kids to run off some energy as well We all agreed that the beds were notably comfortable and were pleased to find a the walk-in shower/wetroom with plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The bath in the en-suite had low sides so I could easily in get in and out. I think parents would find it particularly handy.

There was little storage space for groceries and in general they hadn’t really thought about where visitors would store things like clothes, shoes, suitcases, dog food etc. The main bedroom upstairs was spacious with ensuite bath. The second bedroom was very small and no storage for clothes [although the mattress was excellent] We liked the open plan living space and the kitchen area was spacious but not thoughtfully laid out or overly equipped. It clearly wasn’t expected that visitors would be doing too much gourmet cooking or at all. We found the kettle was leaking and the dishwasher wasn’t operable while we were there The crockery was very attractive — but heavy. The had it all laid out to be aesthetically pleasing but not with practicality in mind. I couldn’t reach anything and found it very heavy to use. If we had been staying longer or with children we would have sorely missed having a washer/dryer
