The Coach House at Kingsettle Stud

Was für ein wunderschöner Aufenthalt! Das charmante, gemütliche Häuschen bietet alles, was man braucht – perfekt ausgestattet und mit viel Liebe zum Detail. Hier kann man wirklich zur Ruhe kommen und die pure Natur genießen. Besonders schön: draußen grillen und gemeinsam essen unter freiem Himmel. Ein Ort zum Abschalten und Auftanken. Ich komme sehr gerne wieder!

The location, was picturesque, peaceful and quiet. The property was cosy and tastefully decorated.

Das Coach House und die Umgebung sind sehr gepflegt und mit Liebe restauriert. Bei unserer Ankunft erwartete uns ein leckeres frisches Bauernbrot, frische Milch, Marmelade und Kaffee. Die Möbel und Ausstattung sind individuell passend zum historischen Haus, alles ist gut aufeinander abgestimmt. Alles war sauber und einladend. Am meisten waren wir begeistert über den Hot Tub im Garten und das bereitgestellte Feuerholz. Ein großes Dankeschön an die Gastgeber, wir hatten eine wundervolle Zeit.

The setting of the accommodation was lovely. It was surrounded by fields, wildlife e.g. peacocks, horses, rabbits etc. Therefore, you could go for nature walks. The beds were very comfortable. The property had a rustic charm about it. It was quiet and peaceful. The Wi-Fi was good. The main parts of the house were clean - it was the kitchen space that needed attention as mentioned below.

Unfortunately the following which were mainly to do with the supplied kitchenware/facilities: Kitchen/dining room The door handles on many cupboards/doors needed mending as they were loose. (photo) The kitchen door had an open wire running at the top of it. (photo) The cooking wok had lost its integrity, had rusted and was a health and safety issue. (photo) The chopping boards needed to be replaced as they had deep cuts in them/had passed their functionality. (photo) The Vonshef unit on the worksurface was completely ruined and needed to be disposed of. (photo) The microwave (top of microwave photo) and toaster were filthy and needed cleaning which again was a health and safety issue. More cutlery and some saucepan lids for the saucepans would have been welcome. Downstairs bathroom The hot tap (left side) didn’t work/ turn on. The lock for the bathroom door had loose nails coming out of it and needed mending. (photo)

extraordinary charming and cosy old building in the middle of a wide farming area including free walking peacocks. Our 13yo daughter was completely enthralled. The landlords family lives next door and are very friendly and helpful.

you should not expect the latest bathroom installations

Location was excellent and Rory and Susie were available if you needed anything. Hot tub lovely and easy to use.

Stairs are steep for older people, and downstairs bathroom is a problem in the night for older people having to go up and down the stairs.

Tranquil, lovely setting that is convenient to sights. We enjoyed the sounds of peacocks and doves, the beautiful garden, and the sense of privacy in a shared building. Very homey and romantic. A great start to our vacation.

Every place has minor drawbacks, especially in historic buildings. Visitors should be aware of steep stairs and a short walk to the front door. Hot water takes a while in the kitchen but is on demand in the shower. Kitchen is small. Nothing is a dealbreaker: it's a beautiful place with great character.
