"We cleaned the fridge...and went to a hotel!"

Nothing. Do not book this apartment. It is so filthy that we were unable to stay there and the owners will not answer any messages about a refund.
Everything. The worst things were the smell of the fridge and the liberal sprinkling of marijuana on the coffee table. The curtains were stained and safety pinned and both beds had bits in. Also they charged us £10 for later check in despite the fact that it was a key safe! My sister and I travelled to Aberdeen to be with our sibling who is recovering from a major operation in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and our trip was made even more stressful by this experience.
