"Overall, I will not be coming back and I would highly advise for anyone not to stay in hut sunset view."

1.0

There was no Wi-Fi at all. We had a book another hotel during the duration of the day and we left early. There was no refund. The staff was friendly (they were not much help). The owner was no good, he wasn’t helpful. The owner didn’t care to speak with us when it came to a refund because we were bought this room that included Internet, and there was no Internet in the establishment. The room is really small and they have a huge mosquito problem. I highly suggest Do Not book a room at Hud Sunset view. This is absolutely the worst purchase I’ve made in my entire life. I’m Never booking at this place ever again. We left extremely early and booked another hotel down the street because that one actually had Internet. We still to this day haven’t gotten a refund.

It has a nice view that’s about it, but it’s infested with mosquitoes.

"Great location but don’t expect too much."

Great location, right on the beach

Not very clean, intermittent power outage, poor wifi( this may be due to typhoon damage a month earlier), door didn’t lock

"Working facilities and communication could be improved"

5.0

The bungalow I was in (I think Number 2?) It’s the pictured bungalow with the window on the water’s edge, was INCREDIBLE. As pictured, great light, so cute. The bathroom was clean and modern, the window however could benefit from opening wider and having a fly screen so that bugs didn’t get in. In Typhoon Tino hitting, my bungalow was the safest during this time, being the only bungalow that didn’t experience any damage. Ignoring the typhoon, my particular bungalow was so great. The location in Corong Corong was perfect, was amongst restobars, grocery stores, while being a little outside of the hustle & bustle of El Nido Town Square but a close enough walk or 100 peso Tricycle in. Was also a very short convenient walk along the beach to other beachside bars or cafes. Such a great way to travel.

Unfortunately Signal 4 Typhoon Tino hit during my stay. So sadly, a lot of damage was done to the Property Manager’s office and another bungalow in the property. This was obviously very unfortunate for Jam & Fred to have to fix, on top of any damage done to their own homes in a stressful time. So I hope the recovery was quick and that they weren’t inconvenienced for long. Do not stay in November as it is still a very wet time of year. My bungalow didn’t have working hot water for my first 2 days before the typhoon hit. Then the typhoon hit which obviously delayed this as well. Pre typhoon, electricity also blacked out often, but this is also expected and common in the islands. Communication was inconsistent and inefficient at times, and at times frustrating. While I don’t speak Tagalog, Jam the Property Manager could speak English well and at times would communicate via WhatsApp, which was useful. His Maintenance colleague Fred couldn’t speak English at all and made communication requiring power outages and the hot water impossible. I wouldn’t know if he was coming back at all to check on these, and if so, when. I would also get him saying “hello, hello, hello” at the front door and not knocking, which was confusing as you don’t know if it’s for you or someone else outside. And also doing it until you answer instead of just realising you may not be home or could be asleep? Then also being a solo female traveller that is just terrifying. It happened again for a second time when I came home at night, to no power again, in pitch black darkness, and someone (him) saying “hello, hello, hello” to me until I answered the door requesting that I not use the air-conditioning. It was a black out. How was I supposed to even try to use the air-conditioning? A very non-sensical request for a terrifying scenario.

"Everything you need in a rustic bungalow with great views"

7.0

We arrived just before sunset and the view from the bungalow blew us away! As they say location, location and only 2kms from El Nido Town by tricycle. We paid $115 (AUD) a night which included a great breakfast. The staff were helpful.

It was very, very noisy and we struggled to get any solid sleep. The shower pressure wasn't good.

"Cute bungalow with an amazing view"

7.0

The view from our bungalow was absolutely stunning! The aircon was necessary and very effective and the owner, Fred was friendly and helpful! Overall we really enjoyed our stay in the bungalow. Although it was rustic, it had everything we needed (bed, aircon, bathroom), it was close to town and you can’t beat that location right over the beach. Magic.

The bathroom was pretty average. The shower pressure was like a drip and the pipes started to smell after a few days.
