Nice pool and nice enough staff. Safe

Bed was very uncomfortable and very noisy. Unsafe electric shower. Bathroom door locks did not work. We stayed for two nights. Building seemed to have had a paint make over but very low standard.

A lot of the reviews comment on the host, unfortunately we didn’t get the pleasure of meeting the family, which is why we like to book home stays. There was no one else there, so it had no friendly atmosphere. Outside our room really needed a bit of TLC. A little more attention to the cleaning would be good, and the fan and aircon were very noisy. I don’t like leaving negative reviews but this is my only opportunity to give feedback to the owners.

Villa was very close to fabulous beach, you get there just across railway and Taj resort. Pool was clean. Jungle was around The Villa and closest small shop just across The Road. There was restaurants and shops about 10 minutes walk from villa. Tuktuks to Aluthgama and Back was 500-1000 rupiis. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

The accommodation was close to the sea.

The mosquito jury nets were missing.We got a different room than we had booked.

If you want to avoid the huge fancy resorts that ruin the seaside, but still be on the beach, this Villa is the ideal choice. Very quite, totally private space with a huge bedroom, kitchen, livingroom and balcony, recommended for couples. We were warmly welcomed by the hot family and while our place was totally separated from theirs, in the end we ended up hanging out with them a lot, talking about lif in SL and even celebrating a birthday together! We felt very involved and are thankful for that, maybe the best experience on our whole trip for my wife. We do recommend taking breakfast here as it is made with love and tasts that way. The pool is clean and convenient, but as the beach is 2mins away on a private walkway, we didnt use it much. I hope this place stays the same for many years to come, we are thankful to have found it by accident and for the time spent together with the lovely family who runs it.
