Elegant Double Room in a Family home with shared bathroom in Central Reading

The house was very nice, room confortable and very quiet. Fatima husband was very welcoming and always available for any needs.

Unfortunately there was only 1 small and large towel to share between 2 adults. I have asked 1 chair to be used for clothes but Fatima didn't have any available. The smell of curry was extremely strong around the house. House location is located in a lovely area but very far from the city centre if you don't have a car.

It was warm they lady was accommodating as I ask if she provides tea and coffee and she said I can put a kettle and 2 cups in which was lovely we brought our own coffee so we could wake up with a hot drink very comfortable and very clean would definitely go back for a stay

The only thing was the clock in the room ticking around night but it was easy sorted by removing the battery too have a good night sleep

Clean and comfortable

Found the room too warm and the ticking clock kept me awake. Tea and coffee making facilities would improve my opinion

The location was perfect for my purpose of visiting

The room is very spacious and clean, with lots of storage space. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was spotless. We appreciated the curtain in the bathtub cum shower, as it ensures that water doesn't get splashed around. Plenty of shower gel and shampoo, too. Private parking space at the front of the property, which is located in a quiet new estate fairly close to the city centre. No instructions for check-in, as there is someone there to let you in.

There is a kettle with two mugs, but no tea, coffee, sugar or whitener, and no teaspoons. I know they said we could ask for anything we needed, but the room and private bathroom are on the second floor, and going down two flights of stairs can be off-putting. Plus, not everyone feels comfortable asking! Fatima's husband, who welcomed us, was perfectly amicable, but we still felt a little bit like intruders (when we book homestays, we are used to being offered a drink and spending a little time chatting with the host - this felt more like being in a hotel).
