Paradise on Chianti area. A well equipped, design and managed apartment. Its the best stay on our italy trip. Margherita and Carlo makes us like home. Its definitely a plus to our trip. We will come back for sure.

Found this place too late.

From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this place is a true labor of love. Margherita’s thoughtful touch is evident in every detail - fresh flowers in the bedroom, towels tied with elegant bows, candles in the shower, and even petunias blooming in the shower window. And the shower itself… what an experience. It truly feels like bathing in nature. The location is ideal: close enough for day trips to Siena and San Gimignano, and just a short drive to Castellina in Chianti for charming restaurants in the evening. Yet it remains wonderfully secluded and tranquil - immersed in nature and far from the rush of everyday life. One of our favorite moments was simply sitting in one of the serene lounge areas outside, sharing a bottle of wine and some cheese, surrounded by beauty, birds and fireflies. Magical. Margherita and Carlo were the warmest hosts, making us feel genuinely welcome and at home. Their kindness and hospitality elevated an already exceptional stay into something truly unforgettable. If there were a rating above perfect, this place would deserve it.

Exactly what would you would want out of a romantic Tuscan getaway. The home was beautifully updated yet still kept its wonderful charm. The beds were comfortable, the home was clean and all the amenities you needed were there. The location was perfect and there was so much space around the home for our little girls to run around not to mention the beautiful little creek.

No views of the Tuscan hills but everything was so close by. We actually preferred a more remote and private location so this was great for us.

Molina di Cogno is not just a destinationit’s a feeling you carry with you long after you leave. Every inch of this place exudes elegance and timeless beauty. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in a sense of calm and serenity that only deep-rooted history and thoughtful restoration can offer. The attention to detail is astonishing. From the softness of the linens to the scent of fresh herbs in the garden, every element has been considered with such care and quiet sophistication. It’s the kind of place where even the light through the windows seems curated. You can feel the soul of the past gently humming through the walls-there’s a sense of reverence here, a deep respect for the land and its history, beautifully blended with modern comfort and refined taste. Every room tells a story. There’s a ton of love here. The location is nothing short of magical. Nestled in its own peaceful corner of the world, yet perfectly situated to explore the surrounding beauty, it offers both seclusion and connection. Molina di Cogno is a masterclass in understated luxury. It’s for those who appreciate beauty in the smallest details, who seek peace without pretension, and who understand that true quality speaks softly, but leaves a lasting impression. I can’t recommend it highly enough. This place is unforgettable.

We loved everything about this beautiful place. It is an old (11th century) mill restored to perfection. The bedrooms were very comfortable, great kitchen equiped with everything we needed, and modern bathrooms. The place is beautifully decorated inside and outside. We stayed for 4 days including Easter and it was hard to leave. The hosts Carlo and Margherita were amazing!!!! They became our friends!!!

Great location in the nature, surrounded by trees and birds. Lovely rooms, large, very confy bed and extremely clean. Carlo and Margherita are great hosts, they explained the "mulino" history, were super kind and suggested great places where t o eat and explore. Totally recommended, a big hug Margherita & Carlo

You must try this! We have just returned from a delightful 12 day holiday in Tuscany, at this truly exceptional location. Our goal was to relax in the Tuscan countryside, and the Molino Di Cogno was the perfect venue for our "down-time" retreat. This mill is newly renovated and extraordinarily well-appointed while still retaining the structure and charm of the old mill originating from the 1100s. Nestled deep in the idyllic Tuscan countryside, it offers a serene and luxurious sensory experience. This place is enchanting. The soothing and tranquil setting bathed in the rich scent of the Tuscan forest, herbs, and late October flora, the gentle gurgle of the mill stream, and owls calling to each other at night combine to create a magical elixir that only Tuscany can offer. We stayed in the one-bedroom apartment, cooked much of our own food and luxuriated in the generous shower which, through an open window, overlooked the mill stream and the valley. Everything was new and fresh. Linens were crisp and luxurious. Our hosts decorated the rooms with authentic furniture and artifacts from the mill. While nodding to the past, the decor was also modern and well appointed. Close to Florence, Siena and Panzano (Dario Cecchini's butcher shop and restaurant) the location is an ideal "home base" for further exploration. Just up the road there is a restaurant that serves food we still dream about. Carlo and Margarita were the consummate hosts, always friendly and available, offering suggestions, and even guided walks on the surrounding property. We arrived as customers, and left as friends. We will most certainly be back.

Carlo was so helpful and willing to help with our specific needs The architecture and design of the old mill is wonderful. They have done a stunning restoration of the old mill which has been in existence since 1100. It’s extremely comfortable. The pictures online do not do this place justice, its even better in person. Carlo went out of his way to drive us to Siena to resolve an issue with our bikes. We cant say enough about Carlo and Marguerita’s hospitality, they are wonderful.

We had a wonderful stay at Moligno Di Cogno. The apartments have all been meticulously restored and very tastefully decorated throughout. Carlo and Margherita are kind and attentive hosts. It is in a beautiful and peaceful location, away from the main roads. We would definitely recommend it.
