Omah Gili Hotel

The owner of the hotel was very cooperative in letting us leave earlier and refund the remaining nights.

Our whole stay was a bad experience. We arrived one day late but informed the hotel about it. When we arrived our rooms were not ready even though they should have been ready 24 hours earlier. Entering the hotel nobody came to welcome us, the receptionist was just standing behind the desk, nobody helped us with the luggage even though we have 2 kids. As one room was not ready they "upgraded" us to a different room. This room however was next to a internal construction site with a lot of trash around it and a big hole just next to the walkway to our room. Because of all the trash we had a lot of cockroaches in our room, we understand it's a tropical island but killing around 5 roaches every morning is just not a nice feeling. Overall the hotel needs a makeover.

Les bungalows sont vétustes et en mauvais état, cela n’est pas flagrant sur les photos mais les bungalows sont les uns à côté des autres, vous entendez donc votre voisin chuchoter ou recevoir un texto alors que vous êtes dans votre chambre. Le matelas est hyper dur (et pourtant nous aimons la fermeté) mais là impossible de dormir sur le côté tant cela était compliqué sur une surface aussi dure que des planches. Il y a 5 ou 6 coqs complètement déréglés qui chantent à partir de minuit et ce jusqu’à 9h, le petit déjeuner est le plus ridicule que nous ayons eu en terme de quantité, il y a des fourmis dans les couverts et sur les fruits. La piscine entre l’entrée et la réception ne donne pas envie. Nous étions dans une chambre « deluxe » qui n’avait absolument rien de deluxe….pas de frigo, un miroir de salle de bain dans lequel il est presque impossible de se voir …nous avions déjà eu bien mieux pour le même prix

Beautiful Villa that comfortably accomodated our family of 5. Big outdoor space with a lovely kitchen and well maintained cooling off pool. Daily included breakfast was delicious and delivered with a smile. Filtered water cooler was really handy and the drinks from the fridge were inexpensive. My son enjoyed the free mee goreng instant noodle cups.. Housekeeping was not provided until after 3 days of stay but since we were only there for 4 nights, we didnt need it We asked for some clean towels and water refill which were provided promptly. 2 of the 3 bathrooms were actually outside which was an interesting experience. They were roofed and private but there was a big opening to plants where worms and mosquitoes kept coming in.

The location of the Villa is not the same as the location of the hotel. This was not communicated to us in a timely manner. I received a WhatsApp msg 2hours prior to arrival asking about my arrival time. I didnt have internet access so we headed to the hotel with all our luggage only to find out that we were in the wrong location. The Villa is located 1min from the port, behind a restaurant. Pro - close to food, con - 15min walk to a swimmable beach. The staff were helpful in relocating us and we didnt mind the daily walk. It's a small island.
