L'Antico Casale

Amazing place in the Sicilian mountains. A bit difficult to reach, but shouldn't be a problem if you're having a car. The scenery is incredible, the little restaurant serves great home-like Italian cuisine. It's an advantage if you speak Italian, but we could easily get by without it :) If I knew how cozy it is, I'd plan to stay there for at least a couple of days.

Lovely family run farmhouse style property with spacious rooms and facilities. The swimming pool is exceptional, unfortunately the weather did not allow us to use it. It was the beginning of the season and the property was very quiet.

The location is a little remote but there is an on-site restaurant. We did not see any other restaurants nearby.

the grounds felt run down - possibly because it was out of season not atmosphere due to a shortage of guests

Rustic, country atmosphere. Dining room is very atmospheric with its stone walls and arches

Our stay was magical. Breathtaking views from every angle, delicious food all freshly cooked, and exceptional service from the family owned and run resort. I would rate this as exceptional in every way and I hope to return. I would highly recommend it, especially to those looking to unplug and take in all the beauty.
