EMPLACEMENT TRES BIEN SITUE TRES CALME AUCUN BRUIT DE VOISINAGE

Finding the place was easy. Not too far from the old town. The rooms were decently sized. The owner's kid, Liam, is lovely. Ample parking.

I brought a bag full of cheeses and wanted to put them in the fridge. The owner welcomed me warmly and said though the room was not yet ready (I came early) I could use the fridge right away, and leave my stuff in the room, which was very nice of her. When I came back, she told me there was a mix-up with the rooms assignment, my room was a different one, and the staff already moved all my things to the new one. It was only the next morning that I found out the fridge with my chesses in it was not working (spoiler; about half of my cheeses survived the experience nevertheless). At the check-out, I shared my frustration with the reception employee. She told me I should have known better and turned the fridge on when putting the cheeses there. Which in and of itself is a strange position, as nobody ever mentioned that. Regardless, I also was not the one to put the cheeses in - and presumably, the staff moving it to the new fridge should have known it needed to be turned on? It could really enhance your guests' experience if the staff learns not to lapse into a knee-jerk reaction of blaming the customer for anything that has gone wrong. I started off trying to sharing my disappointment - left with that disappointment all intact.
