Evas Howe Lodge

The location was superb. Easily accessed from the road, close to supermarket, but with open wild views of grass and scrubland, which was teaming with Hares, Rabbits, Short Eared Owls, Hen Harriers, Curlews, gulls and pheasants. A constantly changing view. The property was compact, but very well constructed with good quality bathroom , kitchen , sitting room and bedroom. Carolyn was very helpful and easy to contact. Useful set of maps and a guide book were available to use. Warm and cosy.

Unser Aufenthalt bei Evas Howe war rundum wunderbar. Das Ferienhaus ist äußerst gemütlich, komfortabel und funktionell eingerichtet – man merkt sofort, dass hier viel Wert auf liebevolle Details gelegt wurde. Es war alles vorhanden, was man für einen entspannten Aufenthalt braucht. Ein ganz besonderes Highlight war der atemberaubende Ausblick in die Weite der Natur. Wir konnten zahlreiche Tiere beobachten, was den Aufenthalt noch einzigartiger gemacht hat. Carolyn und ihr Mann waren außergewöhnlich freundlich und hilfsbereit, sodass wir uns von Anfang an willkommen gefühlt haben. Die Lage ist ideal: herrlich ruhig, perfekt zum Abschalten, und dennoch in unmittelbarer Nähe zu Sehenswürdigkeiten sowie wunderschönen Wanderwegen. Wir haben unsere Zeit dort sehr genossen und würden jederzeit wiederkommen!

Where to begin? What a wonderful wee home from home with all the mod cons. So well thought out and a magnificent view whatever the weather. We could have sat looking out that window all day. Carolyn and Billy were lovely, friendly hosts with great tips on places to visit and to eat, as this was our first trip to Orkney. Evans Howe is a marvel in craftsmanship and a most comfortable place to stay. Can't recommend it enough.

It has everything you need in a compact space, it's hard to believe you are in a Pod! The view is amazing!

We absolutely loved everything about this accommodation. It was so beautifully finished - felt very luxurious and very cozy. The host Carolyn was fabulous. Welcomed us, had a chat. Left a great assortment of treats on arrival. Advised where to visit.
