Nice location with a good view. No complaints.

The amazing views, the large balcony and very spacious room.

No lifts, hard to go up and down with heavy luggage as a traveller, considering the property’s rooms are at an elevation and slope and it’s quite tricky to go down, especially. The host could’ve been more accommodating. There wasn’t shy mention of no fan being in the room, so I had asked for one and they provided me a table fan. I had turned them both on (the fan and the ac) as I’m from a cold place and Sri Lanka was quite hot for me, but one of the hosts quite rudely turned off the ac and asked me why I needed both. The other female host who was in communication with me the entire trip via WhatsApp was taken aback by any normal request made. For example, she said I could only use either the ac or the fan (and not both) as the electricity bill would go up otherwise. I mean I found their hospitality bizarre coz aren’t u paying for all this with the room rate? Anyway, I had to walk on egg shells around them fearing anything I might ask would be turned down or questioned, which did happen. Usually a host goes out of their way to. Ale guests comfortable, this was surely not the case here. The location is quite remote and post 6pm it gets eerie and dark with not one street light in site, making it hard to go anywhere during those hours (by walk)

The apartment is beautiful, with the most stunning view over the hills. The bed was comfortable and it was really clean

The room is not sound isolated in the slightest. In the evening I was able to jest ever single word of the guests downstairs, and was woken up the next day at 6:30am by a kids tv show, which was plays on full volume. You also have to pay extra for WiFi. Free WiFi should be a given in 2025.

I rate the accommodation very positively - we had the option of early check-in, we also took advantage of the laundry facilities. The view from the room and the terrace was wonderful, we could see the monkeys right from the bed. The bathroom and toilet were also clean, spacious and comfortable. The accommodation was about a 20 minute walk from the centre and a cheap tuktuk ride back as it was slightly uphill. We also had a book at the accommodation with information from the hosts who were always willing to help and advise us even via WhatsApp.

Family owned property .Sao the daughter was incredibly helpful in arranging train ,tuk tuk .anything we needed .Impeccably clean !! Bed Very comfy .Amazing views .! Amongst nature .monkeys ,birds .squirrels .The walk downhill was lovely ,chatting with the locals .Best to get tuk tuk back up .200 sl .Easy walk along the lake into town ,a fav place for the local people to stroll .Felt like home from home ! IT has to be the best place in Kandy .We loved it !!! Thank you Sao and family for taking care of us during our stay ❤️ .Hope we can return one day !
