Quinta do Monte

Хороший, красивый отель. Территория отеля просто чудесная. Персонал приятный. Хороший интернет. Мебель в номерах наверное можно немного обновить, но ничего критичного.

Hotel typique mais vieillot. Il meriterait une belle rénovation. Très bon emplacement.

La piscine vieillotte, la décoration des chambres et le mobilier méritent une rénovation.

Mooi gelegen hotel op wandelafstand van de kabelbaan, één van de botanische tuinen en de Carreiros do monte (afdaling in een slee). Super vriendelijk en gedienstig personeel die ook tips geven voor uitstappen en wijnkeuze aan tafel. Voldoende parking. Goede matrassen, alleen spijtig dat het 2 enkele bedden zijn die ook zo opgemaakt zijn i.p.v. een echt dubbel bed. Stille kamers, behalve voor het lawaai in de gang. Mooi balkon met prachtig uitzicht. Redelijk ontbijt.

Zwembad is niet verwarmd, jacuzzi was buiten gebruik. Kamers, badkamers en eigenlijk heel het hotel is toe aan een opfrissing. Beetje afgeleefde indruk. Verwarming/koeling stond af of werkte niet. Was gelukkig niet nodig, maar wanneer het warmer of kouder wordt is het de vraag of ze dan wel gaat werken.

Piscine un peu vieillissante et pas assez chaude

The stuff were so kind and helpful. We like their pool a lot. Their pastry in the breakfast was really good. Also we like the ambient of the hotel. For location close to funchal but the way has too many heels if you are not use to drive in mountains maybe not the best choice but nice view.

I understand that the hotel management may have strict rules because they want to maintain a certain standard and atmosphere. However, some of the rules felt a bit too pushy to me. Guests who choose a hotel with such a nice ambiance usually already know how to behave respectfully. For example, seeing notices saying that taking food from breakfast would cost an extra 5 euros felt unnecessary and, in my opinion, actually lowered the feeling of quality and hospitality. Also, having a dress code in an island holiday hotel felt a little too controlling and did not match the relaxed vacation atmosphere. The hotel stuff was very nice though it is not about the behaviors I see

A piscina poderia ser mais quente e o jacuzzi não estava a funcionar

Le cadre et la Quinta étaient superbes. Une vue magnifique sur Funchal et juste au-dessus du Monte Palace !

Le matelas n'était pas confortable.

Brīnišķīga viesnīca! Ja ir vēlme sajust greznu vintāžu, tā ir īstā vieta! Senas, klasiskas viesnīcas aura.Izcila lokācija, ļoti daudz apskates objektu tuvumā.
